  • This video helps me..... THX

  • nice video. dont listen to the negative retards....

  • I deleted your comment because it was pointless. I generally leave negative comments up because I believe in freedom of speech, but not when they lack a point. I agree with you wholeheartedly about stretching the eye, as I have entered into school at this point and understand a lot more. This video will be revised and redone but that doesn't excuse your behavior or comments. Get lost, or I will MAKE you get lost. Got it? And it's CUNT. LRN2SPELL

  • Getton you rock.!!

    lol.!

  • LOL You're fucking retarded FunkyMonkey.

And i hope your mom dies in a house fire.

  • Thank you!

    This helped me tons!

  • The Mary Kay eye makeup remover is AWESOME! I love all of the Mary Kay line. I ended up buying the starter kit just so I could get my products at 50% off. lol

  • ur hot

  • thanks so much!

  • I <3 you! :D This is amazing!

  • you could always put a mirror behind the camera, that way you can see how the video comes out and also you could see your eyes better

  • thanks this was awesome!

  • thanks for the mirror tip! i didnt know what that was for cause i have one.......... and omg i have the EXACT same make up remover and i don't like it either!!! thanks :)

  • thanks

  • well it is a tutorial

  • Lol, a lot of people apparently disagree with you.

  • I love it when she gets that really far away look at 3:40. Sorry for giggling just a little when I saw that.

I'm amazed that you were able to put it on without a mirror. Kudos.

  • Thanks for the helpful video. I've never been one to actually wear make-up but thought it'd make me look a little nicer. This is a really helpful video and the explanations help plenty. First time I tried I ended up poking my self in the eyes and looking like a racoon. Thus , been too scared to take a pencil near my eye but this looks like good advice. Thankyou :)

  • wait wait

    so..

you apply it on the outside of eyelid

    AND on the inside?

    or just on the inside..

  • Doesn't matter. If you notice that if you apply it on top, you can often see the areas of skin between the lashes and they stand out. If you get right into the lashes, it just makes it look like you have a dark lashline which is what you're going for.

  • this is a great video! really helps. can anyone suggest an eyeliner that stays on and doesnt smudge? Cause i have a problem with that.

  • estee lauder softsmudge black pencil.. i've been using it for years, its always dark and never moves

  • hi im new to makeup. and i was wondering when applying eyeliner on the top lid. where do i apply it? above, below or on the lash line?

  • I prefer the waterline which is just beneath the lash line. It makes the line of your lashes look dark but you can't see any makeup lines which is always good.

  • this is a great video i always mess up cause i suck... i also always poke myself in the eye as well...

    Thanks,

    Bailie

  • lol same

  • You have a great way to explain things!!! Thanks for the friendly tips it has helped many.

  • Thanks for the tips its always handy to have people like you to guide others that need a lil hand. :-)

  • You're really good...Wow I really need to practice because I suck at it...that's why I never wear it. But now I'm going to go practice. Thanks!

  • Hey you are so good and i do eyeliner above my bottom lashes and under my top lashes and i have never poked myself and im 12! u rock!

  • It's kinda funny that at the very start of the video you say how you hate doing eyeliner when you're making a tutorial on it!

    Great vid, thanks =)

  • Oh, and I also think it's better to use eye make up remover than rub it off with soap. Or you could use a makeup wipe, but the soap good badly hurt your eyeball if it got right into it. xxx

  • i know pulling your eyelid to the side is okaii for putting on eyeliner on top lid, but it makes your skin saggy around there, so it's better to sort of like pull it up the way, or lean a makeup brush aginst the top of your lid, and then try and apply it. I find it much better for your skin. xx

  • youre like... pro at applying eyeliner without a mirror! lol love your videos! theyre awesome!

  • Hahaha, its cute how you are so In to what you are doing! Awsome:D

  • I absolutely love your eyebrows! Thanks for the tut :)

  • I poked myself in the eye because I made this video with no mirror. You try putting eyeliner on instructionally in front of a camera with no mirror....

  • Hey, put your camera in front of a mirror.... lean it back a little so it shoots up at you and look over it. I think that will work... i think. :D

  • Not to be mean, but it sounded like you were crying or something..

  • A lot of people have said that but it's just nervousness. This was the second video I made I believe.

  • cool vid!

AH i have the same eyeliner :) haha

  • what kind of eyeliner is it???

    i want it.

  • yo tambien!

  • Maybelline's Unstoppable

  • yeah that helped alot, can you do one on eye shadow pleaseeeeeeeee!!!

  • You're still a stalker. Try not to be so obvious about it. And btw, "ain't" is NOT a word according to Webster. =)

  • ahhh i poked my eyes alot too :(

  • thats the eyeliner ii have

  • I like it, I always use a pencil. liquid eyeliners are hard and messy for me, I also have a fair skin tone but I use black eyeliner, I have brown but it doesn't stand out for me. Great video!!! xx

  • When I put my eyeliner on I get so close to my dresser mirror that i hit the eyeliner pencil against it...

    Lol.

    Nice video

  • Oh I have to frequently clean mine for the same reason =P

  • that's great! I ever took black eyeliner but it looks too hard...tomorrow i will buying me a brown one ;)thanks you alot

  • Thank you!!! This video solved all my problems thank you!!

  • Thanks so much for this tutorial! I've always had a lot of trouble with eyeliner - somehow it's just always too hard! But your tutorial was really helpful. I can put eyeliner on now - and it actually looks good! Hahaha.. thanks again!

    xxxx

  • That is really great! =)

  • the way i like to remove makeup is

    nuetrogena makeup remover

it removes waterproof mascara and eyeliner along with eyeshadow

  • DON'T PULL on your eyes like that. It's too harsh, you're going to destroy your collagen and cause wrinkles to appear at an "early" age.

  • The little lip on the inside of your eye, where you put your white, is called the water line. i just thought you might like to know because I always wondered what it was called before I knew. =) great tutorial. =)

  • You really look like the cheerleader of hero's lol i don't know if u watch it or not but u really do! :) Great tutorial btw x

  • Do you have any tips on how to groom brows, yours look really neat?

  • Yeah, I don't mess with eyebrows on my own though, I suggest going to a good waxer and either waxing them or getting them shaped with a tweezer if you're like me and break out everytime you wax. I also really love trim service, it keeps the hairs short and in place. I go for a really natural look but its up to you what kind of style you want. Sometimes it's just best to leave it up to the professional.

  • Thank you so much!! I was looking for a tutorial on applying eye liner, and no on explains it like you! Thanks again, you've helped me a bunch =)

  • vaya caca de la vaca

  • Coma caca. =)

  • You talk wayyyy too much. And you don't teach well. You should show it on someone instead of yourself, since you can't put it on while on camera.

  • Talking is sort of the point of a tutorial. If you think it should be done a different way, then do it yourself.

  • umm can you please do a video putting it on because i dont know how and i really want to. and do it slowly. thanks <3

  • thank you thank you thank you ill be a great emo because of you thanks

  • Thank you very much for the vid!

It helps me a lot =]

  • i have to deff agree 100 percent about the mary kay eye make-up remover...it is great! my sister in law sells mary kay and thats how i got introduced to it...its funny cause i was watching your video and as u were beginning to talk about mary kay remover i was removing my eye make up with it :]

  • cool... u make the tutorial..

but i prefer u show me how use it than u explain about it...

maybe some pic about the result would be...

i would love if u got white eyeliner tutorial...

  • you have to put the pencil eyeliner on the fridge for about 5 mins. then you sharpen it...= )

  • Youre cool :b

  • hey! im a new subscriber...i just found you today & i must say that i love your videos! i cant believe all these haters, sheesh...get a life and stop watching videos you have nothing nice to say about! anyway, keep up the good work, sam! oh by the way, i also pull my eye taught like you to apply eyeliner, it's so much easier! :)

  • thanks im a guy and ill try and get hooked up with this stuff and ill try it out =]

  • you would look awesome in black eye liner it would make your eyes stand out more!!!!

  • Actually, it makes my eyes look smaller.

  • u sound so scared.

  • LOL

  • you did a good job! im soo bad at putting on make up. i can't seem to get the liner close to the lases so i look really funny when im done.

  • I'm nineteen and I feel like I can put makeup on alright, but it never looks great. I have a lot of questions about alot of things and this is the first video of yours and almost any other I have watched. I found it really helpfull and am going to deffinitely subscribe. I'm going to go right now and see what else you have. Thank you so much, I don't know if you realize how much you are helping me!

  • That's wonderful! I'm very glad that I can help anybody at all with these videos. This is the reason that I wanted to do the very basic elements of makeup so that people would understand the simple steps that lead to great makeup.

  • LOL, I'm sorry I find it really difficult to take anyone seriously who actually says stuff like "go teach your grandma to suck eggs" OR feels the need to make an entire video expostulating with fat people on why it's bad to be overweight and how they smell. Wow, you have to have really big insecurity issues. =)

  • I have the "unstoppable" in black. I love love love it.

  • unfortunately, i pull on my eye when i put on eyeliner too. it's not impossible to make a straight line without pulling on your eyelid though. pulling stretches your skin and makes your eye sag and gives you wrinkles. im critiquing you on this because you're giving many other people bad advice..

  • Look, while I appreciate your advice, I have a makeup book by the artist Kevyn Aucoin who specifically says to pull a little bit at the lid to make it taut. I don't mind constructive criticizism, I have other more prominent sources than you, like A-List Cosmetologists, I suggest you read his book.

  • Although Kevin Aucoin may be a well known make up artist, it does not mean he is a credited skin care source. I'm not saying I am either, but I have read and heard from multiple sources the damage repeated pulling of the eye can do. I bet if you were to ask a dermatologist they would say the same thing. That is all.

  • There are a lot of things you can do to damage the skin on your face. Makeup can age your face in general, so if you're so concerned about the elasticity over your face, you might want stop using makeup and sit inside of a clean air bubble for the rest of your life rather than worry about the damage that life is going to do to your skin. That is all.

  • I have that same book! Is it called making faces?

  • Yes it's awesome.

  • for the eye makeup remover, i used to use an oil that i soon came to hate once i started using thicker mascara...now, i use baby shampoo because it's easy on the eyes and gets the job done!

  • i use the marykay eye makeup remover too. ur rite, it does work rlly good. btw ur rlly pretty.

  • Bad bad girl dont pull your eye back it can make your eye lid sa its not good for you! apart from that it was fantastic video!

  • I'm not pulling my eye hard I'm merely tightening it a bit. I have makeup books that tell me to do it like that from estheticians who are famous.

  • lol Near the end it sounds like your gonna cry xD

  • nonono!

    do not pull your eye

    bad!

  • better get over it because I like to have smooth liner lines.

  • oh! i have that same EXACT remover i hate it too its horrible! its stinks lol.can i give u a tip since u helped me out? ok i heard this on the tyra banks show and ur gonna think im CRAZY b/c i thought she was when she said it BUT you can save money and time if you buy some vaseline and use it as eye make up remover it works GREAT i love it and it comes off so fast just try it i swear u wont have regrets.

  • Wow, that is interesting. But what about residue?

  • nahh vaseline doesnt leave residue. you just wipe it off with some tissue and it comes right off. lol

  • I noticed in your other video about applying every day make-up you used a powder eyeliner . .. what brands do you recommend? I stopped using pencil liner during the day b/c I felt it looked to harsh so I would like to try the powdery liner.

  • I feel the same way. Pretty much you can use any brand that has powder-to-liquid capability. Some favorites of mine are the physician formula baked eyeshadows and the sonia kashuk eyeshadows. What you should try first however, is go wet a eyeliner brush, brush it onto your eyeshadows and see if they make a nice liquid. Also, try it dry, it gives you that smokey look even if it's harder to control.

  • Wow, I didnt know they made the roll up and down kind in big pencils! Im gonna go get some! Thanks! =]

  • I don't think that she should wear eyeliner. Her eyelashes are already pretty dark and her eyes look nice the way they are.(That's if she doesn't have any makeup at the beginning of the video).

  • There is a little bit, I did a lot of videos at one time and I couldn't get all of it off between videos. =)

  • i'm lefthanded and i also wear contact lenses.... for me...putting on eyeliner is a tragedy. :(

  • I'm left handed and wear contacts, too. What does hand dominance have to do with anything??

  • How do you get rid of it cuz I use pencil and its hard

  • eye makeup remover. Mary Kay is the best I've ever tried.

  • There aren't any tears rolling down my face.

  • thank you, u have nice eyes. im just starting to learn about eyeliner and stuff cas im kinda emo and yer. thanks u really helped =]

  • honey ur lashes are so thick u hardly need any eyeliner! gorgeous eyes u hav :)

  • i have the liquid kind, and im real squeemish with touching my eyes and shit, but i want to get it on the side of the lashes close to my eye, she was talking about some smokey effect, but im too squeemish, any ideas :P ?

  • It really does just take practice, try resting your elbow on a surface and looking up at a mirror by tilting your chin down. And you don't really need to touch your eyes, just hold steady and wiggle the pencil into the corner of your eye. This gets it right into your lashes and is pretty good for the smoky effect... not sure if this helps any, but i'm an eyeliner junkie so let me know if you have any Qs!

  • I am awful at top lids, but im gonna practice,

and I had one of those roll up ones, and I can't use them cause I'm really bad at top lids eyeliner, but im okay at bottom lids x]

  • hey i think you did a really good job for not having a mirror =]

and what i use for a eye makeup remover is vaseline, and warm water. I think it works really well, and it makes your eyelashes stronger

  • wow thx you really told a lot of useful info about applying eyeliner and etc..i'm just trying to get an idea of how to do it because i have my grad pictures coming up and i want to do my eyes..i've never really do my eyes so yeah..

  • I always had a problem applying liner to my upper lid, but your vid has really helped me out. I've been practicing and almost got it down. Thanks!

By the way, I think Rimmel makes the best drug store eye makeup remover so check it out if you are unhappy with L'Oreal

  • Thanks!

    :D

    You're A SweetHeart

    Thanks v_v

I was kind of a noobbbb To eyeliner but now I'm pretty good.

    thanks ;] Again lol

  • ohh nice thanx :) pretty too ;)

  • I had NO mirror. And it's "too" not "to". Please learn basic grammar before you call someone else stupid. K?THXBAI

  • Hey i have (had) a black eyeliner pencil and i put it on the bottom of my eye on the inside above the lashes. I havent poked myself in the eye ever LOL. Sadly i lost my eyeliner. Its really good as well ;[

  • These tutorials are so helpful. :) I just started wearing makeup and had no idea how to apply eyeliner, actually I was kind of scared of it lol but not now. Also I hope you do a liquid liner tutorial soon because its very difficult for me to apply. Thanks so much and ignore all the haters!

    -Emily

  • im just starting high school, and i wanted to start wearing more makeup..thank you so much for your tutorials, they helped me soo much! especially in the eye department...people have told me like 10 times since school started that my eyes looked really pretty (the eyeliner did amazing wonders haha)

oh and btw, your lashes are soo thick..very pretty!!

    thanks again~~ ;]

  • same here im starting today in like 3 hours and its the first time ive ever been to a public school so ti want to fit in and knowing how to put on make up is a really big boost in my self esteem department thanks alot :)

  • "ow i just poked myself in the eye" hehe that bit was funny and good video btw :D

  • someone told me to use a nudey flesh toned eye pencil on the lower rims of your eyes to make them look bigger. will that work the same way as the white or should i definitely use white instead? and what brand of white eyeliner do you use?

  • I actually do not own a white eyeliner. I've been blessed with large eyes already and putting white eyeliner on makes me look like I'm wide-eyeing people from across the room. The nude color doesn't make sense to me because that should be the color of your skin when you're going for the color of the whites of your eyes to make them look larger.

  • you dont pull your eye lids over.

unless you want wrinkles when your older.

  • I don't believe that making my eyelid taut is going to give me wrinkles. You really have to pull at your skin to break the elasticity. Out of curiosity, how do you suggest putting eyeliner on smoothly while leaving your eyelids alone?

  • yup

  • i used to use pencil eyeliner because its easier to apply than liquid liner, but at the end of the day it smudges all over esp the corner of da eyes leaving panda eyes. how do i prevent tt??

  • Because makeup is soft, it travels. You can correct it throughout the day or reapply in the middle of the day but I don't really know how to "prevent" it. I have yet to hear a good trick for it.

  • i have almost the same problem but the eyeliner ends up under my eyes, so i was just wondering will liquid eyeliner stay when i apply it, or will it just smudge too?

  • My eyeliner always smudged and ran down my face, but since I began using liquid it never moves

  • really? okay thanks, i've thought about using liquid eyeliner but i didnt know if it was just going to make it worse because its liquidy. anyway thanks, i'll be sure to try it soon :)

  • no problem, sweetie...it's a life saver! haha
