True, and I would agree, but to be fair, it starts out as one big block, they cut it into an explorer shape, throw away the excess, and then cut out the parts in the body and throw that away, so ultimately, Gibson still has to buy the same amount of wood for the same price, and the excess is not used again. But come on, it does look pretty wicked! :P
