Okay here is all you need to know about MR ANDERSON.
He paid his dues. He spent a lot of time mentoring AND LEARNING consistency and rebound control from one of the games best, Vokoun. Craig Anderson has flawless technique, great positioning, instincts and mental toughness. He is the real deal.
A #1 goalie in this league. Ottawa is in great shape to have him as they move forward.
@asspirate123456 Simple, he didn't get the contract he wanted in Denver so he quit playing. Sherman had no choice but to deal him, otherwise he probably would have thrown every game the rest of the season (i.e. we wouldn't have ended up much worse than we did LOL)
Lesson learned for Ottawa: He's brilliant....when he gets his money.
@avsfan331940 Well there we go. "He's brilliant....when he gets his money". Elliot seems to suck regardless so I still think the Avs got the shit end of the deal there.
@asspirate123456 Elliott doesnt suck. He is just a back up. Thats all. HE was given too big a work load. He has back up skill. He is a back up. Don't blame him. You will see Elliott relax and play better as a back up in St.Louis behind Halak. In the meantime Ottawa now has a #1 goalie in Anderson and solid back up in Auld, and they have a pedigree prospect in the ahl named Robin Lehner. Ottawa (Bryan Murray as GM) finally fixed their goaltending issues. Muckler was a tool-Lalime, Emergy, Gerber.
I had a chance to skate with this guy in a charity event here in Denver at the end of May and can tell you he's a really classy guy with a passion for the game. I think he's a good fit for the Avs right now, probably not the goalie of the future, but at 28, he's just entering his prime, so you never know. I'm glad to see him coming to the Avs.
Agreed, so far he has been very consistent and passionate in this spot. He's also quite competitive, he gave a guy quite a few punches when he crashed the net last thursday.
