Holy Crap! Shaun sure gets right after that Gibson. What a fucking exceptional guitarist! One of the best trios EVER.
Sad to see them split it up,But hell-Best of luck to all of them.I'm sure MOBADASS
will be just that. And well we all know Shaun's Always got it.God i wish i lived in the great white north-You guys have some of the greatest straight up rock n roll bands-I mean 'EFFN EPIC!
I am so happy to have seen this fucking video... what a fucking trio !!! These guys still doing there thing and that battle jam into the superstitious outro had to be the freshest thing I've herd in years and what a fucking pleasure ...
For guitarists Canadian what about Kevin Breit ? You could see his band every Monday at the Orbit room on College... He has to be mentioned for his playing.
Can someone post the where abouts to Wide Mouth Masons next show cause fuck , I am going... Thanks
@pcascagnette Glad I posted it! I saw the guys in Toronto in July with Gordie Johnson on bass (Earl has gone on to fully front his fantastic band, Mobadass, which you should check out!), but didn't get much video of it, sadly. As for when they're returning, I know they have some dates in the Prairies right now & they'll likely be hitting the road again by Christmas, depending on when the new album is finished - their tour dates are updated regularly at their website & on Twitter. :)
@WanderingWombat Oooh, yes, if you've got the audio & have a link to the video you're making, please do link it here & I'll post it in the info for people to find!
@Tinymoezzy I agree! Unfortunately they've never (to my knowledge, & I've seen them 25+ times live now) done "Superstition" on its own; they add it as a part of other songs, much the way they do with several of their awesome Police covers. I THINK there's a Best Of compilation that came out in Asia a few years back which may have the audio recording of it - keep an eye out for it on eBay! They also used to have it as one of the songs featured on their MySpace, so it may still be there. :)
I used to have it a LONG time ago on CD but since then i have not found "Superstition". I think it might be a copy right deal, you can sample and blend the music but not do the full version in a show.
Couldn't agree with you more! We're lucky up here to have some amazing musicians...and a few notable guitarists, to be sure. The late, great Jeff Healey, for one. And Gordie Johnson!
Shawn just blew my mind all over my face :)

My Superstition mp3 plays totally fine but it cuts out halfway through when it's in Movie Maker. I am mad :(

Sure, he's good. What about Alex Lifeson from Rush? Far better candidate.

Proving once again why Shaun Verreault is Canada's best guitarist.
