You're so beautiful!! :) I will be getting the same surgery except metal plates and screws put in my jaw bone instead of getting my mouth wired shut.........again, you're very beautiful!! Glad to see you doing better :) I am looking forward to this surgery, I have an overbite
Hey there, I just seen your videos. Your amazing, wow!!!! Im thinking to myself Im gonna be going through this too. I have my braces on at the moment. So I have at least 14 months of this first, then operation time. Im so not looking forward to this. How Much did it hurt after the operation babe?
I wasn't in pain after coming home from he hospital three days after my surgery, but it did take time to get used to being wired shut. There were times when I would get pretty frustrated with not being able to talk/eat, but it's very worth it in the long run to follow doctors orders and let your bones heal. =)
Congratulations on your surgery. I'm have to get underbite jaw surgery too. Where did your surgeon cut your mandible (lower jaw)? Did he cut at the base or near the top of the mandible? Do you have feeling in your mouth yet?
So, has it been difficult or painful to laugh at all throughout the healing process? If so, how much at which points in time? Just wondering, cause I haven't heard you talk about it.... but I noticed you said in this video that you can't wait to be able to smile.
hey I have a underbite as well, and I keep begging my parent's for the surgery. But they don't want to pay for it unless the health insurance covers it. I was wondering why they paid for yours? how were you medically impacted by your underbite? can you please respond? i just want to know if i have a slight chance of my insurance to pay. oh & btw you look great, GORGEOUS. (:
when i was younger my speech was effected by my underbite, there were records of my speech therapy from elementary school that we sent to the insurance company. =) it took about a year to get approved though... so be patient and persistent!
good luck with everything and thank you for watching!
Hi, awesome videos. I have a class 3 underbite and really want to get jaw surgery. I was curious if insurance covered it for you or if you had it covered some other way. That is a big issue holding me back. Also, do you have any numbness in ur lower lip still?
liquid diet for 6 weeks is painful. what are you eating? im only day 11 and im SO fed up of soup...soup and more friggen soup. any tricks u have found? tasty liquid snacks lol.
and i've been looking through youtube vids for support, etc.
just wanted to say, your video(s) have really helped !
it's reassuring to know that so many other people have gone through / are going through what I will be having done, and I think it's awesome that you've shared your story with the rest of us, so thank-you !! :)

hey i love your videos there so helpful. you look great ! im 15 and i finished growing and in 2 weeks im getting surgical hooks on my braces. Im hoping to get surgery a little before christmas vacation but do you think this gives me enough time to recover?i dont know if i'll be as swollen as you since im not getting bone graft done but i'm afraid my face will look like a balloon haha or i won't be able to talk in school. also why did you throw up, was it because of the surgery or were you sick?
Congrats, I had upper and lower + bone graft august of last year to correct my underbite and sorry to burst your bubbles but you won't be eating real food any time soon :(
You won't be able to open your mouth even for a few centimeters and the jaw exercises are a pain.
what exactly did you have done? my surgery is on tuesday AHHH, and i was wondering if they broke both ur top and bottom jaw, did they take ur wisdom teeth out? and did they have to reposition your chin aswel? your swelling seems to be nonexsistent i hope im like that :P hope these last two elasticated weeks go fast, you look fabulous :)
hey =), i had both upper and lower jaw surgery. they moved my upper jaw forward about 4.5 mm and my lower jaw back about 5 mm. i had my wisdom teeth removed 8 weeks prior to the surgery. my jaw was a lil off to the side before so they corrected that as well.
i can't wait to finally be finished with the whole process, thank you for watching!!!
@pinksweety288. ohhhkay, they are taking my wisdom teeth and moving my upper jaw down??? hoping you might have had that cus ive never heard of anyone else having that,,,, sounds a lil drastic lol. and wow that sounds like they moved it alot! make sure to keep posting lots of videos, ur giving me confidence lol. thanks
@pinksweety288 sorry, me again, quick question. when you were in the hospital how many needles did they stick in ur hand? i have a HUGE phobia of them and i notice that your IV changed hands, why did they do that?
hey! they put an IV in my hand about an hour before the surgery, and they kept that one in for about 2 days, but then that vein burst so they had to switch hands. it really didn't hurt at all i promise! i hate needles also but it was just a small pinch and once it's in it doesn't hurt at all.
great vids was wondering if we could get a close up of what you braces look like shut like that ive gotta get surgey in about 2 mounths and was wondering what its gonna look like
one question... why do you talk like that still? (dont mean to sound rude)
Cooki3Monst3rxx 19 hours ago
@Cooki3Monst3rxx
