  • @Giveaways4Runescape Really? This is by no means the most efficient way to solve the cube, I made this video almost a year and a half ago. I was one of, if not the first person to post a solution video for 3x3x4. Oh, and did I mention I figured it out on my own? No? Well I did.

  • @Tannk42 well i believe that this is the easiest way as their are only 4 algorithms to remember, and you explained each step very well. i know now how to solve it by memory.

    But here's a real easy one to solve the parity case:

    After you solve the top layer completely and have screwed up the middle layer's edges, position the cube so the two that need to be swapped are in the front face and do this algorithm:

    (Uu)2 R F u2 F R (Uu)2

    Take you right to solved. Thanks again. though - great vid!

  • thanks, i made this promptly after getting it and i realize that it might not be the best but i had nothing to go off, this is just the way i came up with to solve it, i wasnt trying to make the most efficient method just an easy way to solve it. :)

  • well, i think its one of the fastest ways, at least as far as i know. (except the pairity which can be solved with 1 7-move- alg.) do u know any even faster method?

  • nah, i havent really been solving any cubes lately.... ill pick some up some time and mess around but thats it.

  • @egonAges yea u can make your own efficient method, download cube 500 which figures out 3x3 algs but u can trick it 2 finding the alg u want. like lets say u want a alg 2 switch 2 diagonal corners when solving the 3x3x2, well if u tell cube 500 to switch 2 corners on the ll of 3x3 and then look for an alg which has F,R,L and B faces only moving double moves, if u then do the alg but when u move U move the top 2 layers clockwise (Di bottom 2 layers anti-clockwise). Hope that helps.

  • Awesomeness. This method is lot simpler and more intuitive than any other I've seen. I just got my 3x3x4 today and you made my worries about it's difficulty go away.
