@henshooten: I had a look at 1.06 and first I couldn't see anything, but then took a second look and saw your ghost, just left to the tree on the right. Could be.
Been a while since I checked your videos, but just wanted to say again, thank you so much for posting these, these offer a very rare sobering glimpse of what still remains after all these years. The whole island of Saipan almost feels like a memorial (my impression, anyway) much like Verdun in France.
Suicide is so awful to see or even imagine. The Emperor of Japan ordered the Japanese who were on the island to commit suicide rather then to surrender. Thousands jump off the cliff all because of a man told them to. I hope he is burning in hell.
@vkorchnoifan Sure is. What I can't understand: all over the Pacific tens of thousands of Japanese soldiers killed themselves because they disgraced the emperor, but when the emperor lost the war he did not follow his own rules and continued living for another 44 years after the war ended.
My friends and I went up their once and considered going down to the bottom of Suicide Cliff. It was near sunset and we figured if we wanted to see some ghosts we would go. Unfortunately most of my friends were scared and we didn't have a map/guide to lead us out of the jungle. Were considering to go down their again too. :o)
@jaymesandtunic It is a difficult hike and you don't want to go too close to sunset unless you have lots of flashlights and familiar with the jungle. It is a fun trip though.
Great video. I think the only ghosts that will be there are the likes of guys like us poking around for history. All the others left as fast as they could.

there was no need to jump off that cliff...being in americas hands is a hell of alot better than being in thier own ppls hands.
