Absolutely killer intonation and nice tone from a semi-hollowbody that's truly meant to be amplified! A store where I used to lived carried Godin A4 & 5s which I played on for 3 years, and for my money they're by far the best production-model semi-hollowbody basses (both fretless and fretted models). The Epiphone Zenith A/E is a nice model to compare it to, but for only a few hundred more the Godin is THE choice. Other than that, it's the BIG jump to Rob Allen, Turner & other small builders.

Thats absolutely amazing! Are you using a low-B tuning, or a high-C tuning? Would you recommend tuning this bass to a high-C?

@goatcheese514 , sometimes I do, but on this bass I actually use my thumb to get the biggest sound. Normally it is plugged in, and has a very huge sound.

I totally love that instrument. I was playing one for a while at a local music store and I tell you - you just can't play out of tune on that thing. It's as if it stays in tune itself.

I have an A5 and I can tell you there's heaps from the low notes - just not coming across on this recording particularly well. In fact with the low B string it can really rattle.

What do you mean? Does it have gaps in low notes?

Someone posted a comment saying there was no bass - so I just wanted to say there is plenty from this instrument - v smooth right down to low B. In this recording it sounds toppy and there is a lot of finger and string noise - because it's a semi acoustic and I don't think he's playing through an amp. Even though it is semi acoustic I don't believe it's meant to be used without an amp. Though I guess you could mike it if you like that sound. Incredible playing.
