  • So Fred died in a hospital, and not in the boiler room like in the original films.... Interesting

  • i dont get what that had to do with anything in the movie

  • any1 explain to me what the hell r they trying to tell us in this scene i know the john doe crap u guys keep talkin about but any1 explain the freddy dying there part

  • That was horrible. Glad they kept the real opening.

  • I thought of another way to do this scene: Nancy went to the hospital (I didnt think about the reason) And she founds freddy which was completely dead. Then he started moving like in this video and he took her arm and said "NANCY". Then she wakes up with a low scream.I know it isnt good but this scene is kinda boring for me :O Please dont hate at me if you didnt like it <(

  • John Doe: name given to male person (corpse or otherwise) whose real identity is unknown.

Jane Doe: name given to female person (corpse or otherwise) whose real identity is unknown.

  • See, I like this version better than the original, because this one, Freddy's motive is clearer to understand, at least for me. Here, the kids told the parents about him molesting them, and then the parents killed him, so he goes after the kids, I can understand that. But in the original one, Freddy kills the kids, and the parents kill him, and he still keeps going after the kids. I don't get that. Why wouldn't he go after the parents?

  • @iheartslashers accually in the original if you watch Freddy's dead, they teased him and called him names, pretty much his bullying and crappy childhood so then when he was an adult he went and started killing their kids and then the arresting, trial, release, then they kill him and he comes back, blah blah blah, you get the point.

  • Wow. That was a pretty amazing beginning. I sort of wished they used this beginning. It was also nice that they filled us in on what Freddy's last moments alive might have been like.

  • that he or somebody tried to kill him. (sorry, i have waay to much time on my hands..)

  • Uhmm, confusing...if that happened then it flashes back to them like 17, 18, but he apparently was killed when they were 5...then how did he JUST die..

I could possibly, still not reallly see if they said something like "some years later..." but that still wouldn't make sense. Later in the movie the principle or whatever said that "to people around here, Freddy never existed." But if he was in the hospital, although they didn't know it was Freddy, it was still some dude that they found

  • actually John Doe is a name given to a male corpses or patients at a hospital that is unidentified or unknown. So here freddy remained unknown to the hospital along with his identity, there for they labeled him John Doe.

  • John Doe was the character we meet in the beginning of Nightmare 6, Freddy's Dead. What he's doing in an alternate opening to a reboot of the series, I have no idea.

  • ok confused here!!! why does it say jon doe and not freddy kruger? is that not him there?!!

  • Is the clip of Freddy dying in hospital due to being burned? I know it's not Robert Englund. I know it's 2010 remake.

  • movie was garbage but jackie was a nice replacement for englund though.

all in all they need to quit remaked because i hear chris pine ( star treks kirk) will be robo cop in that remake

  • Not sure on this. I understand why it was cut. I think they were in danger of over developing freddy by making him too human. Hes great in the original because you never get a good look at his face, he's a threat, your scared by him because you have zero empathy for him, i thnk that was a big mistake of the remake when they tried to get you to understand him

  • I know why they put his name as John Doe...

His name is really Fred Kreuger, obviously. But they put it as John Doe because the Hospital is unknown to his real identity :) I just looked it up.

And thanks so much for putting this video up, I'm loving Freddy now XD

I personally like this movie better then the original. Just because Freddy turns me on in this one XDD

  • @Beeblez55 saying your turned on by freddy krueger is not something to admit to ! I think the remake is an ok film, i do prefer the original though myself. I think they were right to make him more serious, but i think they just ended up repeating a whole bunch of horror cliche's, they should make it as if it were real, i thnk the batman series is the only old series thats been sucessful with reinvention of characters because its put these characters into the real world, with realistic reactions

  • Just found out that in Let Me In, the man who collects bloody for abby, his name is John Doe and he was burned by some liquid.

  • so is this freddy after he was burned?

  • oh i get it it's what happens after the alternate ending. When Nancy set Freddy on fire, firemen must have come and saved freddy, so this is him in the hospital.

  • @xretardedxgenius98 No, this is when he was first burned by the parents more than likely. That last gasp, he dies, but leaves the audience guessing how he has the power to hunt and kill within dreams. Leaving it without an explanation is better unlike ANoES part 6 where it was shown that he made a deal with a dream demon.

  • @xretardedxgenius98 no cause they say there was no body found

  • @bdog486 So then who was this?

  • @KassieLSmith its John Doe from Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare only original NOES fans would understand the alternate opening

  • @KassieLSmith nevermind it actually is him but its weird that they put his name as John Doe sorry I just looked it up sorry if I confused you

  • @bdog486 The name John Doe is used to refer to a male whose identity is unknown.

  • @fevi91 yeah i know that now like in New Nightmare thats why his name was John Doe and in Let Me In the guy was John Doe yeah sorry i didnt know but u said tht and i looked it up and thx

  • @fevi91 Yes i know that now

  • @bdog486 That's okay. I've never watched Nightmare on Elm Street. I wouldn't know anything about it either way! ^^

  • SO, IS THEN WHEN FREDDY DIED AFTER HE WAS BURNED??

  • isnt john doe the name hospitals give unknown people?

  • It connects to the ending when there burning freddy the firemen come and stop the building from completly burning down they must have saved freddy and brought him to hospital since nancy brought him out into the real world this was possible :P this scene must be him coming back to life ..

  • @Zachvaughan101 no they said there was no body found maybe if you listened

  • i guess u guys are the ones who just starting watching from here and not the old version

  • He a old character from Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare

  • yup confusing

  • WHO IS JOHN DOE?????? it's really compared with FREDDY??????? :O

  • WHAT????? WTF??? WHOS JOHN DOE??? WHAT???? HOW IS THIS REALTIVE TO FREDDY KRUEGER???? i CONFUSED )=

  • @Yugipie9 when the hospital does not no the name of the person they give the person the name john doe.

  • I really wish they had put this in the movie.

  • that's it?!

  • i wish they would sell 2 disc special in australia not on blu ray . . if anyone knows where i can get it that would be great:)

  • @zitfortsky72 ya u take a deep breath before u die

  • This movie is not exactly a remake. the director already said he wanted to make it a lot different than the original. He wanted Freddy to be less jokey and more scary. Sadly I have a sick mind and Freddy appeared kinda sexy to me. Jackie Earl Harley played Freddy brilliant. There is no real competition between Robert and Jacki because the types of Freddy they play are different. This one is more serious and likes to keep things kind of real. Rob likes to go all smiles and jokes while killing. :)

  • @zeronagirl Ain't that the truth. :)

  • Well, I just don't know how I feel about this. Its weak as a lead in to the title, certainly. Also, based on the date being on the bag, he either was just murdered, making the movie take place a decade in the future, or he has been in bandages, unidentified, in a hospital since 1997. Either way, eh.

  • I thought it was Bullshit that this and the Alternate Ending was Blue Ray only Fuck you Michael Bay Not everybody can afford this you should have put it on DVD.

  • @Iam1984Terminator yea but he also did that to get you to buy a blue ray player or blue ray dvd so he could make more money.

  • @gunmaster5115 Yeah but Not everybody can afford or wants A Blue Ray the DVD is owning it still for now plus why would I waste 500 US Dollars for an HDTV then 300 US Dollars for A Blue Ray Player then 50 US Dollars for A HDMI cable then another 50 US Dollars for the video there for screw Michael Bay at least Wes Craven gave us all the good stuff on his DVD sets.

  • @Iam1984Terminator 1. It's not Bay's fault for the dvd getting fucked over. It's Warner Bros. fault... they're the distributors.

    2. Blu Ray players are (and have been..) as cheap as 90 bucks in numerous stores.

    3. People said the same exact thing you're saying when DVDs were overtaking VHS.

  • @OfficialGrimRussell haha lol

  • Ok this was a flat liner opening, no pun intended. I mean, I liked it, but it was just waay to the point, its like "there is a man who just flatlined, we all know who it is, so here are the opening credits anyway"

  • 0:21

  • pleas:

    the sequence of party pool????

  • WOW are people really too stupid to understand this opening?? People are actually asking "Whos John Doe???"... You've gotta be kidding right?? John Doe is the name given to a male who cant be identified. I thought this was common knowledge, but i guess this is why they decided not to use this opening because all the idiots wouldnt get it...

  • @Russell2502 Thank you!!! FINALLY! Someone with some sense! Not only do people not know what "John Doe" means, but they have no idea who that is in the hospital. And they call themselves A Nightmare on Elm Street fans......geez

  • @121kyuubikid i know... its kinda sad really. i mean its probably these same idiots who constantly badmouth this movie saying "wheres robert englund? it should be robert englund. i want robert englunds balls in my mouth blah blah blah" newsflash: its a REMAKE. You dont have the same actors in REMAKES!!! Morons...

btw not dissing rob englund at all. he was good. but IMHO Jackie Earle Haley is 100 times better...

  • @Russell2502 you can still have a remake with the same actor. they would have just got robert to play him different. and he could pull that off easily.

  • @Russell2502 lol are u serious?Im not badmouthing jackie, but i think robert is way better.Jackie did great in the movie but robert will stay better.Thats just me so dont start hoppin on me like other fags would do.

  • @DatFireKing

Great? Jackie Earl Haley may be a good actor (Watchmen), but he did a TERRIBLE performance as Freddy Krueger! Every line he said when he was burnt up had no emotion at all! At least when he was alive, he was convincing! This Freddy made anything in Freddy's Dead look terrifying!

  • @KTKomedy2813 i see what u mean.Thats why i like robert 10 times more,i dont give a fuck if people bitch about him being more funny while killing,i actually love that.I dont know if this helps or not but i remember jackie sayin that he wanted to do his own type of freddy. It wasnt that good, but i give him tons of respect for havin the balls enough to do his best to be freddy.

  • @KTKomedy2813 well, when your a vengful demon who wants to murder people your not going to have much emotion are you :/

  • Comment removed

  • @Russell2502 not really, its not that ppl r stupid, itss just John Doe isnt a common thing around that much, even me who alot of shit on different things & movies etc. didnt know what john doe was....ppl r more common with john smith...

  • @Russell2502 Can you please explain this to me i dont get it :(

  • @NancyThompsonOfElmSt

The flames from the factory would alert the fire rescue and thye would find Fred's body burning on the ground

  • does anyone know were i could see the pool party scene?

  • @arturoR97 there is no pool party scene and there never will be that was just in the trailer

  • Actually, I think this is an excelent point of Freddy's origin where he got his powers. The idea of Freddy getting his power from three dream demons was pretty lame. The part about kids are explained in Freddy's origin, but nothing about dreams, and there was something the memories of him feeds his power. But dying with his burnt body in hospital with tired doctors and patients, under the name "John Doe". Now that explains alot. Yet, I still don't get how he instantly die after so many years.

  • @JDueler11

This is an excellent point? I honestly don't see it. Krueger dies in a hospital...highly unlikely. Unless, the parents suddenly had an overwhelming sense of guilt and decided to call in an ambulance.

Freddy, in the original films, got his power from not only the souls of the children, but also their fear.

  • @JDueler11 its called a coma

  • poor freddy

  • ah poor freddy lol

  • That was dumb. I kinda like the alternate ending though. It was clever, creative and gave the audience a look at how Freddy was when he was alive. This however suggested that someone of authority knew what the parents did. That would screw up the story completely.

  • Why do you have to talk just play it already.

  • im confused, who was John Doe again?

  • @r0xx19 Freddy was, and this made perfact scese to me freddy is burned in the hospital bed and he died so now he's Freddy in their dreams.

  • @r0xx19 john doe, its a when the doctors/nurses/cops dont know the identity of a person, they usually refer them as a John Doe

  • @r0xx19 freddy

  • Where is scenes Party and Fall?

  • @ICETEAPRODUCTIONS1 yeah and it explains why he looks healed in the movie

  • can you post the party scene?

  • Comment removed

  • the movie was terrible cut and edited. this alter. openig might turn out as an amazing ending right after nancy pulled out the unburned freddy out of the dream and burned him again..and after this scene in the hospital the mirror scene we already saw in the normal cut..might fit perfect as well

  • who was that in the hospital bed?? and does this scene happen after the dinner scene?

  • @arturoR97 That was Freddy. And this scene could have possibly worked, but they did not use it, anywhere, which is why it's an alternate opening.

  • @arturoR97 it was freddy in the bed, and my guess is that it takes place a couple of weeks before the dinner scene

  • ok personally it should jump from the hospital scene to the diner scene

  • @movinitlikedat45 or it should show the party scene for the alternate opening. That would be better ! :D
