@ed563 : When you open the choke and keep the throttle openened when you lean the bike over, the carburator fills immediately, so you can kickstart the bike in 2 or 3 kicks. .

@acdc2197 Get the pipe first! Silencer to go with it second. Or save up and get both if you can. Might be cheaper that way too. The pipe will give you more performance than just a different silencer will.

@acdc2197 the pipe changes the sound and gives it a larger powerband, while the silencer only affects the sound of the exhaust. either way it's up to you, just my advice.

You have to drill out the hole of the swing arm in the engine, since the 1988 engine has a 15 mm hole instead of the 17 mm.

But besides that it's compatible. You do need to cut the chassis and have it re-welded. But it fits!

Why the hell do people always lean these bikes over? It DOES NOT fill the carb any faster than it would normally. Do you even realize how fast the carb fills after you turn the fuel on? All you have to do is turn the fuel on and wait like 5-10 seconds (and thats being liberal) if you must and kick the bastard over. No leaning until fuel comes out of the overflow.
