  • Carolina here. If the north insists on the insane path it's taking that maybe Dixie Land should pull away from this sick union and form our own nation in the south. I believe G-d will support the south. Country folk can survive. Ron Paul 2012

  • Huntsville here, Born and Bred

  • That was fuckin epic!

  • anyone who bass fishes on lake guntersville knows this song!!!!

  • Anybody can be a drummer.Randy Teddy and Jeff made Alabama great!!!

  • @grayrenee59 you just made yourself look really stupid to anyone who has any musical talent.

  • Every time I hear this it makes me wanna go fishing. When I was a little boy, this song came out and was when my dad was teaching me how to fish. I am going fishing today, and guess where I'm going... :D

  • Arrogant greedy bastards!!! Mark Herndon is part of what made Alabama happen.Regardless of blood kin! You 3 just flat crapped on him!! Suing him for 200 grand when all 3 of you guys are worth 'bout 10million a piece. Y'all got good music but I have NO respect for none of ya except Mark!!

  • @platecrumb nevermind the fact that Mark had received the money before it was even declared to be his and was demanding over 65,000 more from his "friends and bandmates" that he also had not earned yet. Yeah, the other three guys are the greedy bastards. STFU

  • yea butt theirs no place like Tennessee, alot to do and not as much smog

  • ok so im from minnesota.............alabama f***ing rocks

  • we can hear yall playing over here in rome!!

  • My favorite group when I was young! My dad would take me to Denver Gold games (old USFL league), and they would play after the game.

  • i remember first seeing them ages ago when they were nothing !!

and they've always rocked the crowd !!

  • When I was younger, I chasing a turkey on my dirt bike when the darn thing tried to fly across the FLOODED Arkansas River. Then it landed in the middle of the river. Well, feeling gulity so then I jumped in the river to save the turkey and me and the turkey both in the middle of the river swimming for our lives. I got hold of the turkey and made it across, let the turkey go then swam like heck back to the other side. Not the Tennessee River but everytime I hear this song I remember that day.

  • i kown ever good things must comes to an end but come on not jet

  • they are awesome but i personaly like brooks and dunn better

  • Country music as it was meant to be! I love this song, and this band!

  • Country music at it's best.

  • alabama needs to tour a few more times for the old schoolers like me

  • jeff cook rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • there is an 8 minute version of this on their greatest hits album. But I can't find it on here at all. That version was the best version I have ever heard! Don't get me wrong Alabama kicks ass live all the time but that version was definately the best. A piano solo that would twist your nugget! Even better than this one!

  • watch them at 1:24

  • his fiddle is fuckin sweet

  • That fiddle gets me all tore up

  • randy is my great uncle

jeff and teddy are my cousins so i got to see a lot of there concerts

  • everytime i hear that fiddle at the end it gets me goin for a party. any of the old country songs do. im 14yrs old and i love the old 80's & 90's country instead of the new ones!! ALABAMA ROCKS XD!

  • I'm 13 and like tim mcgraw, alabama, ink spots, and moody blues.I really like old music too.

  • Rocky Top Tennessee!!!

  • two summers ago i was fishing at lake guntersville in alabama , part of tennessee river , jeff cook was loading his boat on the trailer . he gave me 4 fish he had caught . although they were wall hangers , i was tempted to have them mounted anyway

  • i love this song

  • I love this group!!! Too bad i'm too young to have seen them live... :(

  • HairyBranflake007,

I saw them live after a local baseball game - AWESOME show!

  • I agree i live over in somerset close to the wolfe creek dam and i like the cumberland over the tennesse and the song could have been o' Cumberland River, but randy owen grew up on the tennessee river you have to understand

  • Clinch Mountain, KY

  • o cumberland river

  • Just saw Jeff in Ft. Payne with his new band this weekend (6-13-09). He still has enough talent to ROCK THE HOUSE.

T alent doesn't die with age. He is just damn good.

  • They owned the 80's and in the 90's they sold out. Used to be 4 guys on stage making music, then all the sudden they had 20 people on stage. Shame to see that happen.

  • great tune

  • My god I miss home....

  • one of their best

  • My first high school concert was Alabama in '83. I've never seen a better life show.

  • oh, how i wish i could play like jeff cook!

  • Brings back those summer sundays in Old Hickory and how Arliss said this would be the first #1 for them.

  • Alabama is by far the best band... at least in my perspective. They embody counrty music and give it an edge! Their quality is amazing.

  • Again at 2:20 Jeffrey breaks bad on a another lead 2:59-3:20

    Hes just real good.

  • As sweet of a Strat sound as ive ever heard, Stevie Ray included

1:32-1:60 7 ths to 5 ths chords, sweet, Jeff Cook is

    real good.

  • Just a few Alabama boys showing what they are made of.

  • i saw them like 3 or 4 years ago in Madison WI and when they were playing they sucked all of the power out of madison but then they got the power back
