I sorta expected someone close to Welkin to die at some point, though I didn't see it being Isara. Her death though really fit with the story, since it happened at such a major turning point. Here you have Rosie who HATED dark hairs, suddenly finding that she loved this little girl. Isara taught her so much, and at the one moment that they could reconcile, Is was slain. In a way it gives Rosie something to really fight for, even if it's just revenge.

@MikeChua Totally agree i actually found the entire game to be much better in English and this is coming from someone who scoffs at the sound of English dubs in 90% of animes/games. This game was like Cowboy Bebop in that the dub brought out much more of the emotion, and the attitude than the original voices. Plus i mean you cant go wrong having John DiMaggio do the voice for Jann.

Something weird about VC... It was originally developed for the Xbox 360.... Then they ported it and made it exclusive. I'm like WTF?! Then I realized Sony sponsored their anime... I'm getting the idea Sony made a deal with Sega saying they'd sponsor the anime if they made the game PS3 only. If that didn't happen, I believe the game would be a 2 disc masterpiece, tailored for the Xbox.

Actually it was a completely different game when it was on the 360. After some issues with microsoft, Sega WOW decided to go for PS3 and made the new Canvas Engine for the game. It was just going to be a regular RTS game on the 360. Also the deal with the anime came way after the release of the game since no one even knew they would make te game into an anime. It was just Sony jumped on the ship to help fund the anime.

but... i did love how the next two episodes focused on welking grieving. that was really awesome, since it was never touched on in the game.

Very true. Many games/movies that have separate voice actors and singers have a somewhat odd disconnect. You can tell the difference between the two voices. But to have the talent to voice act and to sing is impressive. Too bad it's a fairly short song.

Isara...another victim lost to the incarnation of Deus Ex Machina that I have come to refer to as "The Lonely Kraut."

Basically it's where a soldier - Usually a Nazi or something that LOOKS like a Nazi (like here) sneaks up on a group of soldiers who thinks they are safe, and then kills one of them. After this, he makes his getaway!

Other examples include in Operation Darkness, when a Waffen SS Sniper kills Leona, and in the movie, The Dirty Dozen, at the end, a Kraut kills one of them.
