i see that the description says, is it really deadly?. i cutted 5 of these shrooms in to pieces, cooked warm water and made mushroom tea outta it, and after i drank it i waited for about 5 min, than i made my self puke ( if you dont puke after taking these shrooms its like 70% you going to die).... 8 hours later i was tripping balls and i walked like a jelly man or something it was really scary but fun.. kinda like lsd without the bad side effect

However, the amanita muscaria and its various landraces and sub varieties contain musicmol, which is another intoxicant, i believe it perterbs your system in a similar way but muscimol is actually similar to an alcohol, or at least some derived substance from fermentatoin or whatever. There is another intoxicant too i believe in amanita, but the name? ne1?

@jdj1222 Yea um hi, that's right amanitas contain muscimol as well as ibotenic acid. In fact ibotenic acid would be neurotoxic if it weren't for your stomach decarboxylating it into more muscimol. Also you were thinking of melatonin, a hormone found in most vertebrates. You are correct in a sense, muscimol acts on the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA, thus it's intoxicating. You see its a GABAc agonist, whereas alcohol is a GABAa agonist. However it's effects are of an entirely different nature.

@SALVOTHESTONEDONE Its a fungi, not a plant. Psilocibe mushrooms contain psilocybin which is a structural derivitive of the dmt molecule. However, the amanita muscaria and its various landraces and sub varieties contain musicmol, which is another intoxicant, i believe it perterbs your system in a similar way but muscimol is actually similar to an alcohol, or at least some derived substance from fermentatoin or whatever. There is another intoxicant too i believe in amanita, but the name? ne1?

It may have a structural derivitive of DMT but its not n,n-Dymethyltriptamine as such or 5-Meo-Dymethyltriptamine .And aminita muscaria (fly agaric) does not contain psilocybin its only active chemicals are. l-hyoscayamine,Bufotenin (5-OH-DMT),Muscazone,Muscarine,Ibotenic Acid and muscimol . other chemicals have been reported in A. muscaria but are not really nesesary and none are psilocybin ....

@jdj1222 Yea um hi, that's right amanitas contain muscimol as well as ibotenic acid. In fact ibotenic acid would be neurotoxic if it weren't for your stomach decarboxylating it into more muscimol. Also you were thinking of melatonin, a hormone found in most vertebrates. You are correct in a sense, muscimol acts on the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA, thus it's intoxicating. You see its a GABAc agonist, whereas alcohol is a GABAa agonist. However it's effects are of an entirely different nature.

these grow naturally at out local high school hundreds of them once in a while the polive will pick n kick em apart so the high schoolers wont go to class tripping lol but yes you can eat these types they just give you a bit of a tummy ache
