I love this book! If any of you haven't had a chance to read it yet, put it on your to-do list! I've read it twice, and will probably read it again. IMO, it's one of his best, along with Hearts In Atlantis.

I really liked the book, even though SK's endings usually make me want to punch myself in the throat, I've come to accept it. And this one wasn't SO bad, gives you the option to make up whatever you wanted to happen.

I'm looking forward to checking out the movie, hope Roth does it justice and doesn't just make it about the gore. The real horror of that story is that the phoners can LEARN. Knowing that they are changing but not to what extent. Good stuff!

No one knows exactly what was in the broadcast before that particular apocalypse, but it was simply called "the pulse" by the people of that world as stated in the first paragraph of The Cell.
