  • @Impalamark64 Damnations now your talking, KROQ was the shit, do you still remember any of the DJ's. "The Poor Man".

  • @1Xuchiteco I listened to KROQ from '81 to '91. Raymond Bannister,"Ramondo," was on in the morning, then Richard Blade, Jed the Fish, and Freddie Snakeskin. Swedish Eagle was on either in the evening or on the weekend. The Poorman was Jim Trenton. He also had a show on KDOC channel 56 called "Adventures with the Poorman." I recently heard some of these guys on XM satellite radio on an 80s channel.

By the way, I found a 12" vinyl single of this on eBay, and bought it for about $7.00! Fantastic!

  • @Impalamark64 That is just awesome to have been a part of those long lazy days in the sun @ Venice Beach, listening to all those guys you mentioned. They were all awesome on the radio.

My friends and I, we use to Tag up in different neighborhoods, and the trains. My tag name was FADE! You remember Rockers Revenge-Walking On Sunshine -1982. That was a bad ass jam. There were also, a lot of motorcycle gangs in Brooklyn at that time. The 80's were one of the best years.

  • THESE JOKERS DON'T KNOW REAL MUSIC WHO EVER GIVING THUMBS DOWN !

    BEST MUSIC ERA EVER !

  • @boostedturbotom I agree!!!!!

  • Wow, at the Odyssey in Hollywood, CA. What a song, made the dance floor go crazy in the 80"s. Miss the song and the Odyssey. Still don't know how it burnt down.

  • its an bad ass breaking song back in the days of trowing the card board on the floor and breaking saturday all night long busting fresh moves till 4am in the morning 80s songs writers & singers were original pioneers ,90s and 2000 are just imitators they look for 70s and 80s tunes and remix it nothing is original all imitators now. but many people have never heard most of the bad ass 80 songs and they get fooled into thinking that what these 90 and 2000 singers is new stuff u cant fool me

  • This was the cut during the house party days......miss them days

  • Oh my god. Forgot about this song until just now. Super, amazing memories. I said it before and I'll say it again, they just don't make music like this anymore. All you current divas can eat your hearts out.

  • The "after Disco" music was the best in the 80's. I love this.

  • WHAAAAAT???? did someone say Pulsations in Philly? I can see the space ship coming out of the roof, the laser lights rising out of the floor and teh crazy Robot roaming the dance floor when I hear this song. (LOL) man I miss the 80's

  • why did i have to be born at the end of the 80s this new generation sucks

  • But u benefit from the digital age, just as us older people collecing our sweet youth memories. I wrote somewhere else that the 80's and 90's were the last innovative musical decades...and since the new millenium nothing new has happened....

It's all re-inventing stuff what has been done before.

    Many onliners agreed.

  • i no our generation is so washed up and generic i hate it FTW!

  • @Therealanimale the 90's had more music styles then any other generation(decade). It started with the end of disco, rap, freestyle, club, house, dancehall. In between all that was funk, punk, heavy metal, jazz, miami bass, go-go,minneapolis sounds(prince)and the british invasion.

  • @fatjoe1114 i was born in 87. and i agree with you , this generation sucks because we watch and do nothing. that makes me and you be part of the new suckaz generation. if there is anything that i can do for the 70's 80's and '90's music to come back, i will definetely be in, unconditionally.

  • TUNE!!!!! + ANTHEM!!!!

  • Love this song....reminds me of the days of going to Limelight in NYC...dancing all nite long!

  • This song used to break the Roller Skating rinks and Clubs in Detroit off!!!

  • @phntsticpeg Everybody was together back then. The only things that mattered were the music and the dance.

  • Greta Song. Too many hazy memories. Pulsations outside of Philly.

  • I was a promoter at the Jam. I hired djs and brought in acts like Mr. Magic, Dr. Bob Lee, Chilly Willie, MC Holiday. We had lines going out the door. The place was rocking so much that people were coming on crutches and in wheelchairs.
