Geez there are plenty of wankers on this thread. This is a 3 rota [ 20b] and it did not blow up, the burst panel under the super charger ,well, burst because of a backfire in the induction system. The drivers name is Paul Carrey and at the time of this incident this was a brand new combo and still under development. Unfortunatly by the time they got it sorted ANDRA deemed it was too loud and banned it. A great pity because it was one of a kind and showed great potential.

My stock extend port s5 13b makes a good 315hp on 10psi pump gas run in tune

that is/was a tripplerotor wankel engine, very distinguished sound, and as kunzy04 says theyre not very reliable, overheating is a big problem (and sometimes exploding)
looks like one to me, ive talked to a few people about the possibility about running an overhead hightop belt drive blower like that on a rotary, they all said no, and they all have run or do run rotarys.
i still stand by the fact that the noise is a mix of sraight cut cam gears and timing gears and a blower.
noticed how everyone cheered.

I like the sound of a punched out rotory, just as much as i like the ratta tat tat of a big cam v 8. I'm an all around car freak, don't matter the year make or modle, so long as it's modified LOL.

its a v8 i have never seen a rotary with a blower haha silly kids besides rotaries depend soly on turbo or n/a no such thing as a blown rotary

Also' that buzzing sound is a distinct rotary sound. Anyone who thinks it's a V8 needs to go back to school and see witch side of the car the driver steps out of. No American V8 makes a buzzing sound.

Ya, your are right, I definatly should have turned on my speakers for that one, That is not a V8, I didn't know you could put a supercharger like that on a rotory.

that is/was a tripplerotor wankel engine, very distinguished sound, and as kunzy04 says theyre not very reliable, overheating is a big problem (and sometimes exploding)

a common mod is to put a V-8 in old RX-7's what you were hearing was the wine of timeing gears instead of a chain and the blower wine.

looks like one to me, ive talked to a few people about the possibility about running an overhead hightop belt drive blower like that on a rotary, they all said no, and they all have run or do run rotarys.
i still stand by the fact that the noise is a mix of sraight cut cam gears and timing gears and a blower.
