  • My mom LOVES MY Shrimp and Crawfish Étouffée. She said the other day I need to fix some. In Texas, Now? We'll fall out. I also use that same dutch oven. I learned how to make it, cause it is truely one of my favorite dishes. In the winter I make it a lot. Étouffée Friday is what I call it. I like it over dirty or brown rice. Lots of cayenne.

  • Hey Teya,great recipe,if ever you make etoufee again,try getting the authentic Louisiana crawfish. You will be AMAZED at how much better it will be. Bernards crawfish is okay in a pinch,but those are Chinese crawfish(the taste is very different from La. crawfish). When you cook with the authantic Mississippi river mudbugs,trust me the taste will shock you:). Love you girl:).

  • LOL! Just yesterday I told my mom I wanted to make etoufee using your old recipe. I think I will stick with the Campbells soup for now. If chel Gason used more onion than what you used , seems like a lot. Look like the first time u made it the veggies were cooked down more. Do you not like parsley because u were using the stems? Try using the leaves.
