No, not at all. I built a virtual i7 PC and compared the prices and the PC was MORE. Even with a comparable Dell the i7 PC was more. Yes, you won't find a monitor with the exact same specs, display wise, but even with a Dell monitor with a 1080p display, the i7 was more. That tells you that the i7 is priced beyond perfection. Especially when you consider that the All-in-one model is a design feat. that just isn't known for being lesser value than tower computers.

It's funny how a lot of people jumped from a dell to a mac atfer years of use with their previous laptops and desktops. Same thing happened to me, from a 15 inch Dell to a 15 inch Penryn Macbook Pro and now a 13 inch Macbook Aluminum, lol. The prices for the iMacs are reasonable and considering you're getting 4GB of Ram, 3.06GHz processor and 500GB of hard drive for $1199. Best deal for a higher resolution desktop.
