Who needs working legs to enjoy a good thrashing on a motorbike... :-) that's surely just given hope to many disabled ppl who think they could never ride a bike!!
I would love know how to build that, I can't find it anywhere online. I'm a righ t side hemipelvectomy (lost right side pilvus and right leg), I need to ride again so bad. I just need some kind of hint on what way to go on starting the design.
well i recently just lost all motion from my waist down due to a snowmobile accident about a month ago...im actually in the hospital on my laptop writing this lol..ive been ridin wheelers dirtbiikes and recently purchased before my accident a brand new r6..i thought i was going to have to sell it but now that i see they make this i cant wait to get outta here...mad props to this guy
just be careful man... im 22 and i've had 2 friends die at early ages... one when i was 14, and another at 19... im not getting a bike cause the third funeral will probably be mine... *knock on wood* on the other hand... this guy is very willing to do what he loves... and that is priceless, the shop that did that for him was brilliant and it makes me happy that you can also ride a crotch rocket if you want to... make sure your in a track tho... idk if this helps but look at the yikebike...cf...
ok you tell me how we canm hook up i believe it i have seen on u tube 3 others how can i get started i am a t-3 crashed by busa 12/24/05 i am begging you to help me ride again notmarkclancy@yahoo,com

this is FAKE!!!!!, look at the guys feet move in the first part getting on, his knees stay next to the bike and he moves his legs at the end gettin into the wheelchair. I had a landing gear setup on my bike, (t8 spinal cord injury) and I drive a can am spyder now, landing gear is great but is dicey on the road.
This is GREAT! Im on a computer with no sound, but im getting semi-emotional looking at this. this is really beautiful. Really genious idea. The rider and whoever created this invention deserve an award. This is truly AMAZING!
but I don't think he's 100% handicapped... look at him dismount... lol he pulls his leg it then he holds it up while it falls into the chair... If he had no motor control over it it would fall with the speed of gravity, not slowly and he would not be able to contract his hamstrings to pull his leg off the motorcycle, he'd have to use his hands like he did to place his legs on the bike.
Maybe he's partially handicapped... but I doubt paralyzed from the waist down.
Keep in mind his legs were tucked-bent&seated on that bike for HOW long/several minutes..the muscles WANT to stay tight(my legs do that when I transfer), also his right hand is under the hamstring.
did you make this yourself or did you buy it in a kit. I would love to know because I lost the use of my legs two months ago in a motorcycle accident and want to ride again
I've just seen this has been posted for a yeas but there is so much rubbish out ther. What a great vid, i've problems with multipleMyeloma and and all the problems that brings over the last 3years and counting, how time will eventualy run out, so i will get out more and try to make more of what ihave,,,,,well done ,,,,,i c the light alittle brighter now, jules friend of raverhead
do you do any street riding or is that bike just for the track. I got the same set up from a kit i bought from Lee Beaver. I was thinking the U arms being that far from the ground would pose a problem on the streets.
just how far the bike leans over. If the road at a stop sign or red light is not level or the wheel that is on the round goes into a pot hole or a dip in the road the bike could tip. I guess you have never had that problem.
your right it could tip, you have to kind of watch the road. I found that it was easy to miss that stuff. Also the bike shorter to get on. And if the road has alot of camber you dont feel like you are falling that way? When you let the cluth out the bike stands straight up.
On my bike both wheels are on the ground when its down. I am going to redo mine an put them half as short as yours. The bad thing about having them both touching the ground is when they go down an the road is camerd one hits b4 the other an it jolts the bike to the side.
