Jenkins is earning 1.2 million dollars this season. I can't say I completely blame him for not sticking his neck out to make tackles against Green Bay. His contract runs through the 2012 season. Why risk injury in 2010 and 2011 when you can play your ass off in 2012 and get paid a ton on your next contract? That's why 5 year deals suck. Unless the contract is laden with incentives (Jenkin's isn't), there's no reason to do more during the middle years than just enough to avoid getting cut.

Come on man!!! You have to be kidding me!!!!! Jenkins has to make that play or atleast try to make the tackle. If the running back makes a juke to the outside, then so be it. You could give credit to the back for making a good run. But you "CANNOT' just stand there and allow a runner to just waltz into the endzone without trying to make that play He was simply avoiding the back on that play. A real coach would have burned his ass for that lack of effort. My daughter could have made that play...
