  • Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing Stanford research finds that children of gay and straight couples do equally well in school

  • Problem is that so many gay families have to go through much trouble in trying to adopt children which is INSANE. I don't understand why people don't understand that gay people are just as fine as straight people, that there are differences among all of us. There are more clever gay people. There are more clever straight people. More moral gay ppl,.The real problem is that some people are just prejudice towards gay ppl for no reason or based on lies. So get over! U have no justification not to.

  • discrimination.

  • Problem is school performance is a very limiting measure of "doing fine"

  • @littlemissmay yes, but you are no longer talking about possible gay parenting issues. What this man says is that children who grow up with gay parents do just as fine at school, by that meaning that they do not exhibit any externalizing behavior problems and that they are generally match with their peers. This is what any positive straight family arrangements can do most as children rearing goes on. If you want to infer to some other possible problems then it is not a gay parenting issue.

  • Human evolution is only possible with heterosexual relationships. Monogamy is a religious fetish and a tyrannical meme.

    Why not polyandry or polygyny?

ANSWER: Ecclesiastic religious faggots will never admit that separation from biological parents is damaging to children.

  • Wait, gay couples can have children? This is news to me. =O

  • @whoanonstop You need to get out more, lol. There are tons of gay couples with children.

  • @rainbowheartgirl I think you're misunderstanding when I say "have". I was making a sarcastic remark. =)

  • Ugh, the homophobia here is sickening. It might be true that kids of gay parents might be teased, but instead of blaming the parents, perhaps we should blame society for having these backward views? Should we blame parents of disabled children that didn't abort when it was known early? Or if racial minorities produce children in a clearly racist community? This is why they are 'pushing' for equal treatment. It's ridiculous that they have to suffer because of ignorant and close minded people.

  • @n800064447

Yeah, we should blame parents for giving birth to children they knew would be retarded. Why would they bring such a child into this world, when that child will be treated sub-human?

  • So what, and Maoist worshiping Chinese children do better in school than American children from gay and straight children. So maybe the US government should endorse communism?!? That their children perform equally well in school is irrelevant to determining whether society should endorse gay relationships as equivalent to heterosexual ones.

  • @alvincay100

I went to Stanford, and you are absolutely dead on here...

I'm was so tired of this fetish religion being promoted at school... Mammalian evolution can only happen with heterosexual relationships.

I challenge any professor from Stanford University to say otherwise.

  • @alvincay100 no dumbass. the man is arguing that gay parents are as equally as effective and successful as straight parents therefore adoption should not exclusively cater to straight couples when we have so many children in need of a home.

  • @iceboy219 Double dumb ass on you. The clip doesn't make it clear what he is arguing for. All he does is make a statement. I'd would be willing to bet that this guy supports giving marriage licenses out to homosexuals though.

  • @alvincay100 Uh, all gay and lesbian families are asking for is equal rights. I have two dads, and my family deserves to get treated equally by the government. We're not asking for anything extra. It's sad that there are people willing to spread lies about same-sex families, so that's why studies like this are important. They show that people raised by two moms or two dads are doing just fine. My brothers and I did well in school. We went to college. We have good jobs. We're just normal people.

  • @rainbowheartgirl What you call "doing just fine" is subjectively defined by yourself. Many communist in China would say they are "doing just fine," but we all disagree. "Doing just fine" in school is not a measure of morally "doing just fine." Society has a right to discourage behavior that it measures as immoral. Likewise it can encourage behavior it deems beneficial. No one is denying anyone any rights by doing so.

  • @alvincay100 That's ridiculous. Society can't stop LGBT people from having kids. All it can do is make LGBT parents *and* their kids feel like crap because we're in a minority group. Sure, you can deny us equal rights in a stupid attempt to "discourage" our parents from having us. Which doesn't work, by the way - we're already born, in case you haven't noticed! And you don't have to take my word that we're "doing just fine." Why don't you bother doing some actual research?

  • The news is good that children 'in families' do well. My only reservation is that, despite the sample size, is it not too early to tell? I'm not taking her about sexual orientation but of long term academic achievement.

Anti-gay feeling still runs very strong and nowhere are such sentiments expressed more strongly than in the school-yard. (Equally for obese, non-white, disabled kids etc)

I would guess that there are places where this will have a negative impact unless handled correctly.

  • @PhilJonesIII Why would gay people not be despised and disadvantaged? I understand people shouldn't make fun of obsese, disabled, non-white etc. But seriously, gays have mental issues!!!

  • @sorincioban They unquestionably are despised. I hold the view that they have brought much of this upon themselves by pressing gay-issues ad-nausium.

My point was that while everyone is aware of these issues we should not ignore the social effects on kids when they are in an environment (school) where, outside the immediate supervision of teachers, they will bear the brunt of every prejudice under the sun.

We don't choose our parents, equally we don't have a say in who might adopt us.

  • @sorincioban

    "...gays have mental issues!!!"

    -

If you have to tell a grown man (or your college professor) that babies will not emerge magically from his rectum if his gay lover would pump just a little harder, there is no hope they will stop promoting their obsessive fetishes on campus or in the community...

  • how the fuck can gays have children...just saying XD

  • @engeljakob Adoption, surrogate mothers, in-vitro-fertilization, having sex with a man for just that purpose, bringing in children from earlier heterosexual relationships.

  • @engeljakob what great brains you have...

  • Why would it be otherwise?

  • @civver3

Exactly what I was going to ask. Why would the gender of the parents influence their children's performance at school in any way? There is no special symbiosis that only works between couples of different genders and magically produces good grades.

  • @SirWinstonChurchill Okay, confused as fuck with your notion. Are you for or against the thought, because your comments make no sense to me. That or its the sleeping pills that I took kicking in and I cant tell.

  • @dragon12907

Go back to sleep... you wouldn't get a clue if your name was Colonel Mustard...

  • @SirWinstonChurchill Well I'm up now. So might as well tell me.

  • @civver3 Probably because of some idiotic bible passage or something.

  • @civver3

Three states disallow gay couples from adopting children.
