@tahoevic probably more related to Japan. When the movie was made, Japan was ascending, while US had discovered that he lost too many resources on war and end up losing the technologic monopoly to Japan
She seems to be the only one in the entire city wearing a shiny plastic bag, thus enabling him to spot her in the crowd. Great idea if someone's coming after you with a gun.
I remember seeing this in the Adelphy cinema in dublin in 1982, I was 16 yaers old.. I'll never forget this scene.. I thought the music was mind blowing.. I thought the movie was mind blowing .. I walked into the cinema a boy and I walked out of the cinema a man.. from that moment I was hooked on anything retro cyberpunk futuristic industrial sci/fi.. I am so gratefull this film was made, it changed my life.
I think its the choice of the background music along with that heartbeat sound that makes this scene so memorable and powerful.
It makes you kinda sad for zhora as she's getting shot in the back, and the choice to do it in slo-mo well i think it's one the most perfectly shot and scored scenes in movie history in my opinion.
yeah the score for this film is perfect in every way too i think just fits all the scenes so well more than any other movie i have ever seen.
they should've just filmed Deckard against a green screen then cgi in everything else in the background. worked for the SW prequels.

This scene made me, just, idfk.... It made me feel human I guess. Like the replicants in the movie did, and the humans in the movie didn't.

it's "reitiring" Zhora, not murder....

@curbuser I think the uploader knows, but saying murder highlights the emotion in the scene.

What kind of title is this murdering Zhora just before this sense she tried
to ram a tie down his throat or a shirt of some sort.
blueatomx 8 months ago
@blueatomx Yeah, but that was because she knew he was there to kill her. She was fighting for survival.

This confirms that Dekker is a damn replicant. That he survived THIS psycho bitch!

Well, the wound wasn't as bad as it seemed, because she recovered okay.... and went on to become T'Pol's mother in Star Trek: Enterprise!
