  • DESIGNED BY AMERICANS.......MADE IN CHINA.

  • i wonder iff that rush 2 would fit on my ilbe

  • what is the colour of the bag that is being demonstrated on?

Also do the MOAB's come int he same colour schemes as the Rush 72? (the online shops ive looked at dont seem to...

  • 5.11, I recently bought a Rush 72 and guess I got one of the "older" models. There are obviously slight differences between mine and the newer editions. I noticed that my edition does not have that extra row of webbing above the compression strap... will I still be able to attach a MOAB 10 with the Tier system if I purchase one in the future, or is the Tier system only compatible with the newer models?

  • I just got my Ruch 72 in FDE and although I have not had a chance to load it up yet, I would like a slightly larger version, maybe closer in size to the 5.11 Responder 84 pack. I also like the "Load Lifters" on the Responder 84.

At 6'2" the Rush 72 is not that big of a pack for me, despite what many reviewers are saying. A Rush series Pack about 3 inches taller with the "Load Lifters" would be a perfect size pack for me!

I'm still very happy with my Rush 72, it will be my EDC bag.

  • I got the flat dark earth, what is the closest color to a flat dart earth, is it tan, sand, coyote brown, or coyote tan, I really need to know.

    Thanks

  • @511Tactical

I do a lot of extended camping, sometimes up to two weeks. I've seen the photos of the M.O.A.B. tier'd with the Rush 72. Could I tier two Rush backpacks together? It would most likely be the 72 and 24.

  • @free4life85 Yes, its possible.

  • how long are the straps at there longest? cant find the info anywhere. im really tall and an worrying about the fit.

  • @kickthetv643 The padded part of the strap is approx 18" long and the webbing is 17" long, max length should be about 35".

  • @511Tactical Love my 72! Hauls all I need. Just one issue with the straps, the webbing needs to be about 6-8" longer. Using a bladder (in the provided pocket), wearing a plate carrier and using a Mystery Cinch was a no go. I have to move the bladder into the main pouch to get straps into the cinch. I've been beating this bag up in A'stan for a couple months and it takes the abuse.

  • Why has the Model number for the RUSH 72 not been changed since the upgrades? I just bought a brand new RUSH 72 and found only after seeing this video that I got the old stock model. Trying to work with the local shop I got it from but if you only changed the model number or added a letter, it would have made it easier to figure out. These upgrades are very desirable.

  • @Hopper6969 Were did you buy your RUSH 72 from? Im looking to getting one but im not sure were to get it from to ensure that Ill get the new model.

  • Are these new RUSH Packs sold only at 5.11's site? I bought another RUSH 72 at Optics Planet and got the older version. LOVE IT!!! But I still want the newer one with improvements.

  • I love the Rush 72 that I have. Who would I contact about a broken buckle that needs to be replaced?

  • @bigdaddyduke - call customer service at 866.451.1726.

  • That was an effing awesome review, I just bought an oakley kitchen sink and already regret it. I wish I'd seen this before I deployed, I saw a soldier in Kuwait w/ it and immediately liked it. The best part is all the pockets, that'll do wonders for organizing stuff for international travel. It's obvious this is made for operators.

Now I have to figure out how to get it to Iraq, damn!

  • Well done! Great Intro for 72, thanks! Only thought was arraying admin compartments vertically, for the same reason as sunglasses pouch, reclining with pack on crushes delicate gear. Also, it works ergonomically to keep weight close to body. That leaves stuff pocket and main compartment under. With the pack placed vertically on the ground, flipping top admin pouch back over harness area balances and stabilizes pack to stand vertically, when loaded. Just an idea. Thanks! Great product!

  • Dang. I Just ordered the Old 24 a few days ago. At least I got a good deal. It was only $80 plus I got a 5.11 boot knife, tactical Mug, and free shipping. (on LA police gear) The deal isn't around anymore though.

  • satisfied with the 72 in OD, tough bag and in great color too.. gonna try for flight experience this weekend to manado, let see how it goes as hand carry :)

  • the 72 works great as in flight hand carry, fit the overhead cabin just nicely..

great bag !.. im loving it !

  • beautiful

  • How do I know when I order one that I'm getting the most current version?

  • I have the 24 for years.. the black version... Ive never had a more rugged back. THE ONLY THING THAT BROKE OFF, TO DATE, IS THE clips on the pads,

sternum clips........ Those things broke on me.. Otherwise the bag has been great.. It's gone through camping/hiking/daily work.. Its my EDC man purse

  • Im thinking of getting the rush 72 to replace my maxpedition vulture ii. I have a rush 12 and i love it :)

  • @MilPic

I think you have the RUSH Packs and the MOABs, so just try it out. But I think it will work with the old ones as well. The MOAB would just sit a little lower on the the RUSH Pack.

  • sweet. he's wearing a paracord bracelet.

  • How well are these for hiking? I am told that internal frame packs are good for large weight going uphill where as external frames are good for large weight on flat ground

  • @MindBullets2142 the "Yoke" system sucks! really wish they'd get rid of it!
