Wait, so that paint job comes with the game that Volkswagen themselves sponsored? I doesn't make sense. The 53 number is too high up on the hood, the numbers 5 and 3 are the wrong font, and the actual size of the 53 circle is too small. The stripes are too big and on the wrong side like they've been mirrored. The original Herbie has a single side view mirror that's round on the driver's side. The bug is the wrong year; Herbie is not a Super Beetle. Herbie also has a sunroof. Cool game, though.

Ha, yeah.

The guys who made the game originally had the stripes in the original place in concept wallpapers on their website, but I guess Disney yelled at them and threatened legal problems if the stripes remained on that side of the car.

As for the year, I don't think it matters all that much. Herbie was made from VW's ranging somewhere from 1951 to the late sixties in the films, modified to look 1963-ish, anyway.
