The only part that I thought fit was the scene with echigo fighting his hollow self and the vaizard shattering his mask. Everything else just felt like it was put in there with no purpose. Also major points off for using a entire scene for the first minute that could have been replaced with something else.

YOU HAD IT!!  This was an awesome start! More specifically the start was bang on. You ran out at 2:15 and had to include the fight with Grimjow, that was a bit off topic but mildly understandable . Back on track at 3:00 but then you throw in Ishida and you dont finish the theme. You have the theme, Ichigo's battle with his inner hollow; you have an excellent song, your first 2 minutes rock; finish it!
