i got a new laptop and im making the discs, its been over 2 hours and its still on the same screen.... it says if i wanna cancel to hit cancel, no next yet, says please wait at the bottom, been at 100% for over an hour and its been there all this time. is this supposed to take this long??? what should i do???
also, i went to "COMPUTER" but i didnt find a "factory image". theres only recovery, local disk, and cd drive?, i dont know what to do now... the closest thing to the factory image is "recovery" and it says 1.81 GB free of 10.8 GB. should i use that?
if you use the disc, will it download all the programs that you installed after you bought the hp laptop onto the disc? so you wont have to reinstall them???
god i am mad, i used the recovery mamager and then it told me error, and then every time i turn it on, it shows me Bootmanager is missing, what can i do?? i wan t my notebook back

maybethe disc was bad. You could try ejecting it and starting over with another set of (high quality) discs. Otherwise, call HP support

is it also too late to make a recovery disc after you get a virus?

I believe so, better off to recover from the factory partition

Or, try System Restore to go back to a time before you got the virus.

it's a labelled a little differently on the laptop, "Recovery" would be the correct drive.

no, it only copies the software that came pre-loaded, you'll have to reinstall the other stuff
