@Luk4zguy97: Yes, and it rained today, actually. It's not that big a problem since it wasn't a downpour and we have a flame thrower to ignite the bonfire, not a little lighter.
Superb Lava! - I have yet to see better, hopefully I'll get the paint set - if there are any left by the time I have the money :( Loking forward to the ships being painted and watching the next port!! oh..erm..- yarrrr!
Great work! I love your technique for highlighting to produce the ambient glow on surrounding surfaces. Looking forward to starting my lava. Base coats nearly finished now.
Have you considered using 2 or more light sources from different positions? It would cut out a lot of the shadows.
I know I mentioned this to you on Board Game Geek, but OttLites are fantastic! Maybe someone here will enjoy the recommendation, too. They're bright, easy on the eyes, and reveal colors/details naturally. They're touted as "high definition" lights. They're expensive, but Michaels & Joann's usually have them on sale for 40-60% off, which makes them affordable.
@robertnava7777: The duel light sources I do have but don't use during filming since it washes things out and interferes with the cam, but I am looking into the overhead OttLite, just haven't made it out of the house to get it yet.
@TFMD301: This angle won't be done again, no worries there! It was so disappointing. But I couldn't shoot painting this from my former angle which is having the camera directly in front of my chest with the models in front of that. You wouldn't be able to see what I painted inside the rock face. Then again, this angle didn't work either so it's kinda a wash. At least no other pieces of the game are like this so it should be smooth shooting from here.
@SwimmingInMtDew: Thanks! Love your name too, by the way. Makes me smile even though I don't personally "Do the Dew." I'm more of a Pepsi swimmer myself...add some rum to it and ya got yerself a grog!
Can't wait, you're so much better at painting than me.

I preferred the previous angle. The painting seems to be coming along nicely. keep at it like a scurvy sore.
