isopropyl alcohol is like 99% alcohol, you can buy it at DIY electronics stores, etc.

I have some leather brogues that give me blisters on my heels, how can i stretch just the heel of the shoes?

My walking boots hurt around both sides of the ankle joint on both shoes. What would you recommend I use to stretch the boots around the ankles? They are perfectly comfortable everywhere else, including the calves. It's just around the ankles where there seems to be a problem.

Ive tried this and it worked great. i found a wooden stretcher at yard sale and used the alcohol solution for my daughters skate athletic shoes.
