I just tried taking him on yesterday. By the time I noticed his HP started going down, he killed me. I usually wait until 80 something to take him on because I suck at dodging. So far, I've only beaten one optional boss (Ice Titan) and gotten my ass kicked by that one, this guy, and Kurt Zisa. Man, I really suck at lower levels, but it's more challenging and fun in 50s and 60s than 80+.

To those who come after: every time you beat ten rounds of the Hades Cup, you can quit out/lose and save your progress in the tournament. That way, you can re-equip items and such, and still be able to start at 39th, 29th, etc.

Oh, and if you thought Behemoth had a lot of health, wait until you see the best single-enemy EXP grinding opportunity in the game...

Sephiroth's bearable starting at around level 60 for Normal mode and level 70 for Expert, so yeah, don't fight him yet.

i've beaten sephoroth before and one trick is that you need to use a weaker key because he tends to go easy on you if you use a weaker one but don't use one too weak or he will slaughter you. the pumpkinking is recomended that's the one i used
