One of my grandmothers used to play a similar game on the fingers like in this video. I wish I could find out more information as far as my ancestors are concerned, and if in fact they are Sephardic Jews.
you know something, after watching it again, I just realized that little game with the grandma..it kinda reminds me of something my grandmother used to do with us as little ones, I just can't remember!
thank you for sharing ...golly ..I really love this song..the violin part isn't difficult so I am picking it up easily..thanks.. and I like it for a lullaby for my baby too. (:

wow! Such a beautiful voice and video!
I loved the clip with Grandma playing the game w/the little boy!
It brought back so many memories of my childhood in Morroco when my mom played it with me and later with my children.
Thank you!

A ti y tu padre

The title of the Ladino sing is: "A la una yo naci" ("At One I Was Born")
The lyrics are:
A la una yo naci
A las dos me engrandeci
A las tres tomi amante
A las cuatro me cazi
At one I was born
At two I grew up
At three I took a lover
At four I was married.
