Navajo "leaders" in the 60's to the 80's signed one sided contracts for pennies on the dollar and KICKBACKS with their eyes wide open, most navajo's didn't know this and today don't pay attention to any issues that effect their lives, Navajo "leaders sold out their own people. Uranium is naturally in the ground on the navajo reservation so the U.S. will mine it with no permission asked. Contamination occured in Pinedale NM not Sanders,Az.(No Navajo's were relocated to this area.
