  • Love this video, so informative. High blood pressure is such a silent killer

  • Went to the ER feeling real bad BP was 166/110 felt like I was going to have a stroke I hate this!

  • Have been feeling shit lately so i dug up my old blood pressure meter, and it turned out that i suffer now from high blood pressure. My readings before taking an aspirin were 176/96 and after were 148/98. My father in law had his blood pressure up in 280 but then he suffered a stroke.

  • Is High Blood Pressure another bogus terminology??

  • If you want to live a long and happy life, and you have problems with your blood pressure – avoid alcohol.

  • @bloodpressureandmore Not only alcohol, smoking and caffeine should also be avoided since they increase hypertension.

  • My blood pressure was 164 over 92

  • I don't smoke or drink. I do MMA, train 3-4 days a week, for 2 hours, for the past 5 years, scored a systolic of 150/79, like a boss.

  • can i ask some of you people a question?

is it normal for a 21-year old like me to be diagnosed with HBP? i went to a doctor for a physical and my blood pressure readings were 150/85.

i went to a second doctor and got similar readings.

  • I placed a naturopathic approach on my channel in the comment section for hypertension it wil remain post for a few more days.

  • i have had high blood pressure since i was 18 thanks for posting great info for people with high blood pressure

  • i have had high blood pressure since i was 18 200/100 thanks for posting this

  • just drink lots of water cause our body's don't store salt we have to consume it in order to live,it middle ages people were being killed by salt deprivation.

  • @omega4chimp remove vitamine C and people rapidly die in a few months of scurvey purina chimp chow has 14 times the RDA as a human diet. chimps have high replacment costs.LOL

  • AFRICAN AMERICAN !!! LOOOL

  • Anyone with high blood pressure NEEDS to start taking the natural supplement combination of L-Arginine and Citrulline.

Just one a day and my blood pressure has lowered 20 points.

  • high blood pressure simply means your liver is not working properly. By taking taking organic vitamins designed to nourish the liver , my blood pressure has come down. Doctors prescribe cholesterol lowering and blood pressure lowering medication, which damage the heart, liver and kidneys, and simply cover up the symptoms, while the problem gets worse.

  • @tbursee my god man, learn about your innards, the liver hasnt anthing to do with BP. My penis has more control than a liver. when it fills with blood i become faint from the blood loss.

  • 140/90, im 15. its genetic...

  • @laziogoalie6 u just described my cousin and he has high blood pressure so u can get it too

  • what does severe headache mean i have asthma and i only cant breath and night but thats normal right? plzz answer

  • @Deadfantasyfanofespe: If you have asthma, it is normal to have problem breathing. It should become tolerable using the sprays and medication.

To make sure, it would be enough to check your blood pressure. If it is normal, you do not need to worry about your heart.

    BR

  • @Deadfantasyfanofespe: Having asthma, problem with breathing is normal. It can get better with medication such as asthma sprays.

To be sure, check your blood pressure, if it is normal you do not need to worry about your heart.

  • and african americans what the fuck? how about smoking and drinking lol that made me laugh never heard that one before.

  • @howdyhoyo Because of our history across the Atlantic Slave Trade. Africans pack together on horrible ship conditions led our ancestors to this condition because of chronic stress and other health factors, and as a result it passed on to most African-Americans today. When environmental factors contribute to genetic factors its produces a gene-environment interaction.

  • @TheManiNicole This is a total nonsense. Your DNA won't change during your whole life, no matter what conditions you are subject to.

  • @cvoque Go to school. you'll learn about it.

    Source:

    College pre-med 3rd year. :)

  • @TheManiNicole chronic stress surely can increase the mutation rate and contribute to e.g. cancer. It is however extremely unlikely to directly influence the genes of the offspring in the manner that the phenotype would mimic the effect of the original condition.

  • @cvoque Ok, whatever you say...

  • I don’t want to continue with the many pills a doctor is so willing to give so I opted to finding something else, something natural if there was anything out there like that. After reading SOOOO many forums & articles, I found something I was willing to try. Prosit (africanskinhealers it's a website) & so far, my blood pressure has been in the ‘normal’ numbers (116/83).

  • lololol , and African Americans.....

  • I'm only 170lbs 5'10", but my blood pressure is around 165/115. I know I better get have treatment.

  • @ConfessionsPew: 115 for diastalic BP is very high. Take it very serious. It can be heat problem.

  • High blood pressure is no joke and needs to be taken care of as soon as possible. If you want more information on high blood pressure and the effects that it can have on your body, I suggest you check out this site that I found. It's a great resource. Hope it helps you as much as it helped me.

  • i think that eating the right foods is the most important thing you can do to protect your blood pressure this days...

  • Smoke some pot.

  • Try the new way from Thai Traditional Medicine knowed since 15 years using Native herbs (Thai and Ayurvedic) and they have amazing results. Drink 30 ml, 4 times a day while 3 months (sometimes less) and you will see. This herbal drink is really effective and goes directly into the nucleus cells.

  • High blood pressure is caused by stress, and not much physical activity.. I have high blood pressure, but 4 months ago I didn't because I wasn't stressed.. I have no job, no money and lived with my parents. Because of this, my blood pressure is very high. Most college students have high blood pressure due to studying, stressing, smoking etc. Just got a check up today, and mines was 160/111 for a 21 year old dude because I am very very stressed. They say salt causes this, but I say it's stressed.

  • vegan diet is very effective at reversing heart disease, look it up!

  • @adamc404 Beleive me I tried that for two year. I had to take pills eventually. I don't drink, smoke or eat junk food either.

    Vegan diet isn't enough sometimes.

  • the average life expectancy is 63 years of age. this is data taken from the only US population pyramid . the data cannot be argued with. At age 50 we start dying and age 63 half are dead. Do not listen to the lies on TV.

  • @datzfast: Interesting because the average life expectancy for Allopathic Physicians (MD) is 62.

  • @4chango i was looking for that where did you find that out?

  • I'm 155/60, pulse in the low 60's, gonna go for a full check up after the semester is over unless I don't survive through the exams, lol

  • Good video. I showed it to my class.

  • im 20 years old and i sprianed my ankle and the ER dr took my BP and it was 153/103 im on antidepressants bipolar meds and xanax AND im on depo and i have a 1 yr old lil boy.. im 5'3 and weigh about 200 im freaking out... im currently working on loosing weight but my ankle has delayed my excercize... is loosing weight the only thing i should do????? or is there some other things i can do???? IM SCARED!!!

  • the pain was great enough to go to an ER

the pain was great enouh to raise your blood pressure. relax,

  • True, good green tea helps lower blood pressure. Try taichigreentea! See how it work on you!

  • @taichigreentea Isn't green tea stimulating?. The idea to lower Blood Pressure is too get rid of stress.

  • Interesting Video. The best way to lower high blood pressure is with Alistrol (dot) (com)

  • gmine's usually about 130 -150 /80 - 100... bpm between 70-120.... (and those are the actual readings, I haven't got it wrong).

But I don't worry too much about it... if something happens it happens, it's called life.

  • Get rid of the stress stress stress in your life... that's a good start to rid your self of HB

  • My blood pressure has been roughly 150/100 for weeks. Today it went up to 174/126. How dangerous is that?

  • Very... get some garlic pills in your system asap... that should bring down you BP until you can see a doc

  • do you chew tobacco by chance?

  • @datzfast no tobacco use at all, nor drugs nor alcohol.

  • I am 15 years of age. 6 feet tall, 192 lbs, my blood pressure is 129/66...i'm just wondering why the second number is so low...Isn't the difference between them your pulse pressure? And 40 is a normal pulse pressure..63 must be really bad...Someone help?

  • dont smoke, dont drink alchohol at all, eat fruits and vegs all the time, exercise more than regularly, but my systolic is over 160. WT?

  • Hey are you sure aspirin is good for high pressure? I know that is aspirin is a painkiller. And what about water pills? What is it?

  • Comment removed

  • @ariesas: Although aspirins have anti-inflammatory and anti-clotting effects; it is actually unsafe if taken for more then 3-4 months. Long term use can result in a myocardio infarct, due to its antioxidant depleting mechanism.

  • @4chango like co-enzyme q12 i believe. there is more, aspirin increased indogenous cholesterol production by a whoping 40 percent in test animals. the study was never repeated in humans. it gets worse, aspirin masks mild heart attacks because its an analgesic. and worse, the study only counts people that lived to make it to an ER meaning asprin might increase death

  • Bad genetics?

  • @ariesas: Are you nervous while they're taking your blood pressure? I have white coat hypertension. When I get my BP checked at the doctors office it's usually 130 to 150 on the high end, but when I take it at home at my own leisure it's within normal range. I was under the impression that high blood pressure is only dangerous when it's sustained.

  • Table sodium and stress can be factors too . Breathing exercises can bring it down by up to 10 % in less than 5 minutes. I've tried .

  • @ariesas: HBP is mainly because of unbalance in the blood chemistry. Make sure you do not take too much salt and drink a lot of water.

I would recommend you yo ask your doctor for a blood test and check Uric acid, Creatinine, etc in the blood. If the problem persists check your kidneys, usually the problem is there.

In some unfortunate cases it can be a heart problem. 160 is high, take it serious my friend.

    BR

  • @ghorbani as a blood chemist i see chloride or sodium's tightly controlled and out of normal range in maby one in a thousand cases yet high BP in at least 30 percent at time of testing. your full of shit dude.

  • @ariesas stress is the main cause of the high BP,,

  • im 16

    is 154/85 normal?

i know its not i mean how bad is it?

  • Comment removed

  • 120/80 is normal, above 125/85 is HIGH

  • stop eating sweets go on diet eat garlic drink fish oil vitamins stop drinking alcohol stop smoking this will help to prevent high blood pressure ;)

  • im 27, male, ive been on medication for HBP for 2 years now, i average about 130/85 daily... i excercise 30 min a day but cant drop the cigarettes, i hear garlic is good

  • Are you overweight?

  • nah, maybe by not more than a couple kilos

  • I have been monitoring my blood pressure since 1986. One time my BP was 239/57. I have three risk factors: Family history, my mother and grandmother had hypertension, as does my brother. Age, 42, and moderately obese.

  • @BayAreaBiker2001: There is a naturopathic approach for hypertension.

  • african americans? wtf

  • i have a test tomm and this was good

  • as a 14 year old

    is 117/70 normal?

  • thats pretty normal

  • Since you have high blood pressure you will want to avoid drinking coffee and coca cola and drinks that have caffiene and watch out for green tea have caffiene can bring up your blood pressure when you don't want to. So drink decaffeinated coffee.

  • Magnesia milk helps bring your blood pressure down.

  • Suffering from high blood pressure my mom and day does I looked up the computer and they take 1 0r 2 spoons of magnesia milk helps. Take one then check with your blood pressure machine. IF it's below 120 drink 3 spoons of coca-cola that will bring it up.

  • "and african americans"... lol

  • i'm 16. i 've been to a doc cause i did catch a cold and found high blood pressure. shit! i smoke, eat from fast food and i never exersice. sounds logic.

  • serious face.

  • This is Joe Montana and I don't appreciate you letting people know my business.

  • and im 19

  • mine was like 136/85 is this normal?

  • yes thts ok the average for your age is 128/88 .

  • There is no "Average for age" NORMAL for EVERYBODY is 120/80 a little higher than that is fine..Higher is bad.

  • mine is 68/45 or it bottoms out to 0/0

  • I have been using Levodyn for nine months. My blood pressure has gone from 159/102 to 120/74. This is a great product.

  • do u think ill be ok i had a high heart rate going into casulty and high blood pressure but they have gone done but my blood pressure still at bit high i have heart pains what do u think it could be?

  • no bro i was 110/185 i repeat 185, not only 85

    normal is 80,,mine was 110

    normal is 120,mine was 185

    i m 32 years old,6.2 with 185lbs,

i dont eat red meat, only chicken sometime,

    i use LISINOPRIL 10MG everyday,

    any suggest :(

  • I m 32 years old,mine was like 110/185,

Dr. gave me pill for everyday,

what should i do to control ?

  • I think you mean 110/85, right?

Your reading indicates that you have a slightly diastolic blood pressure, which is what concerns doctors.

I'm 6.2 and I was 220lbs, with BP of 160/80 (high systolic BP). I dropped 30 pounds and now my BP reading is 115/65. I stopped taking medication as my BP is back to normal more 90% of the time.

Diet, drop salt, fatty food, trans fatty food, saturated fat, meats. Consume fiber(oatmeals, berries, whole wheat), olive oil, omega-3 oil(fish).

    HTH

  • nice video but i already maintain my HBP by taking levodyn and one good thing more about it is, it's all natural without any harmful side effects.

  • lol and african americans!!

  • WOW! @ 2:44 What a BABE!! :)

  • I've seriously got to say here, one of the biggest risks is actually stress.

My father has HBP, and for a while he was working a stressful job, not feeling great, and his blood pressure peaked at 200/160, even though he was on four seperate medications.

Now, he's at a much better job, and he's eliminated two medications, and the other two result in an almost normal blood pressure.

I believe it was the stressful job and lifestyle that did it. Proof (at least in my mind) that stress does kill.

  • @Burgandy1920 they say that when your stressed that you blood vessels constricr, cause migraines high blood pressure, etc. So I guess beer or whatever isn't so bad after all...

  • @Burgandy1920 I Think you may be very right here, If someone is under stress they drink heavily smoke and even in some cases eat more... In a stressfull job you dont feel the need to exercise ect.

  • Great video... worth taking a look at this. Kind regards,

  • ok i dont get why high blood pressure hurts sum more than others ? my employment specialist says she has it up to the 200's and takes amlodipine 5m,g to help and i had it at 195 do to a recation i hat to a med i took and i felt fine not like her who feels like shit everyday

  • mine was like 155/100 and i'm 5 months pregnant is that ok?

  • ask your real doctor. the doctor in the vid cannot reply, and any answer someone gives should not be trusted as well as your doctor that knows your history.

  • she has a hip injury..... she can barely walk sometimes

  • danzilla777, special diets with low fat and avoiding smoking and drinking alcohol can decrease blood pressure.

I'm also sure that my granny used to drink some kind of tea which she was making by herself (Danshen, a dry herbal root originating from China that can reduce blood pressure) and it was definitely helping her more than all those medicines.

    I hope this helps =/

  • thanx

  • mine is 220/155 is that bad?

  • It's terrible =/

Normal blood pressure is 120 when the heart contracts and 80 when it relaxes unless if you have diabetes, It's only normal for it to go up to 200 when exercising.

  • are u dead now

  • my mother takes garlic..... she boils eggplants and eats em it helps her a little..... anyone know any other natural ways? the pills her dr, gives her are killing her

  • @danzilla777: Tell her to be careful with the eggplant, because it can cause arthritis.

  • Let your doctor know before taking the sesame. He needs to taper of your medication as the pressure drops. Play it safe!.

  • The comment below was meant for another video regarding sesame oil .

  • it helped me

  • um is 109/54 decent

  • duh idiot thats a gr8 pressure

  • I'm really scared. I've been recently having high blood pressure and its been causing me to be very light headed when I walk and the muscles in my arms are fatugued a little. do I have moderate high blood pressure? or more serious than moderate? because I only have 2 symptoms and its scaring the crap outta me.

  • See a doctor immediately!

You're3 not gonna learn about YOUR condition on Youtube.

I looked up this video just now because I had just eaten a big meal and now my hearts racin'!!

  • go vegan and get rid of high BP

  • Yeah, go vegan and get anemia, and go crazy.

  • Well when I lost my job and got into a rutt, I did nothing!!

I am been a bit more careful now though... I got a mental kick up the ass when I did it one day and got 205/135.... Infact now I'm paranoid about it and spend most my days worrying about it. I've been to the doctors, though and they reckon I'm fine, so meh.

  • is this ok- 125/68

  • I just found out that my blood pressure is high I'm 18 , it's usually around 130/80 or 145/90.

Yeah, I still don't know what is going on. Half of my family has blood pressure and I live a sloppy life, sleeping late, eating fatty food, no exercise, no fruits and I drink alcohol,I smoke weed and I drink alot of caffeine. Other than that, I have to keep a dairy of my blood pressure every morning for 2 weeks.

I'm getting my life back on the track, it's not fun waking up late and sleeping late.

  • whats wrong with sleeping late

  • thats nothing mine is 188/72

  • are you okay? mine is usually high when I'm having headaches or waking up late.

  • not really. ive been getting headaches everyday for about the last 5 months but i went to get a sports exam(wanted to sign up for track) and found out that it was 188/72. i couldnt join track but when i left they never once said to eat better or to exercise, or anything they just said ok see ya later

  • if u want to lower your cholesterol go to this youtube account

    "cholbuster"!!!

    it will help nauturallly

  • I'm 16, I found out I had high blood pressure when i was 14. My blood pressure is usually around 130 or 140/90 But when i had my first panic attack, along with an aniexty attack my blood pressure was 160/120

I have no idea why I have high blood pressure, it's not any of the answers above, anyone have any ideas? ?_?

  • i have high blood when i smoke bogies...or it can be drinkin ice tea ahahahah

  • you know what's so ironic, i just started taken garlic tablets today! thank you so much for your input. i'm going natural and again thank you so much.

  • 18F here . very horny. lOL m

  • you know what really sucks is that i take care of myself. i can run all day lift weights eat the right things and because i inherite it there is nothing i can do but take medicine which can cause problems. on the other hand you can have a non excercising fat slob that has normal pressure. go figure, that's just how the cards are dealt in life.

  • If you'd prefer not taking toxic man made medications, you might consider Garlic. Studies suggest that raw garlic has beneficial cardiovascular effects, including lowered blood pressure. In one study it has been shown to decrease the systolic pressure by 20 to 30 mmHg and diastolic pressure by 10 to 20 mmHg. I personally take a 2000mg tablet per day. Garlic is also an anti-viral and anti-biotic which viruses and bacteria can not become resistant to.

  • thank you so much... i just started taken garlic tablets today. i had to research on it but i found out the studies on it and you are right....hope you live a long and great life. again, thank you for your input.

  • I never go to the doctor, which probably isn't very good because the last time I checked my BP it was 141/121. I'm 32 and slim, I don't smoke, drink or eat alot of salt and I work out regularly. But my father has really high BP, so I guess I inherited it from him. I've never taken any medication for it because I'm broke and don't have any health insurance, so I guess I'm screwed. I just hope that if I do have a stroke, that it kills me on the spot. I don't want to be crippled or blind.

  • dang im 16 and my blood pressure was 188/72(i know really bad).im eating and exercising now

  • 23 and already have a blood pressure problem??No diet worked,or some fitness,exercises?

  • @kiril1: Have you tried a naturopathic approach?

  • @4chango, sorry, not yet. Fortunately, I have no Blood pressure problem for now. I just was commenting to someone else.

  • Wow no wonder I was really angry because I went for my physical today and I had 145/72 blood pressure and I wasn't passed. I didn't get good sleep and I ate alot the night before. I was also a bit nervous. I have to go retake it now 3x.

  • thx alot i was worried for my mom so i was searching all over for this kind of thing now i know why

  • Excellent video!! for teaching purposes is great!

  • 70% of strokes? That is crazy. Thanks for the video.

  • The answer is good diet, sleep, and becoming sluggish(That is, not caring for anything [which removes stress by the way]).

  • Nice video. Thanks for posting. I inherited High BP from my dad and am now on three medications for it.

  • speak up.
