  • All of this, is exactly so.

I wish the system was much different, but from where we are right now there is little choice. Senator Sanders, has it correctly.

  • fk em alll!!!!!....revolution now or when half of us are dead...the rich are killin us off!

  • Go Bernie Go! If what he says makes rightey's squirm in their seats, thats the reaction hypocrites have when they hear the truth to their faces.

  • There were no plans from President Bush or anyone in Congress to pay for the Iraq war, but that was fine with conservatives.

  • I find it odd that Senator Bunning chooses unemployment benefits to make some kind of point about deficit spending. Where was Senator Bunning when the Senate was voting on the Bush tax cuts and the Iraq war?

  • Bernie Sanders is a great man.

  • @drharris

Funny how the commie has a far more better track record about fiscal restraint than 95% of the GOP. Bernie is 120% correct about being lectured to by hypocrites.

  • so where is this money coming from ? i see extension after extension after extension ... the money will have to be paid back with interest !

  • @stonerj0e ...a man whos not been hit by this recession showing his compassion....thx stonerjoe

  • @treon123456 actually i am out of work . so the longer they keep this up, the worse it will get ! WHAT WE NEED ARE JOBS AND NOT MINIMUM WAGE EITHER !

  • @stonerj0e ...i m a union carpenter(22 yr journeyman)outta work 1 yr pus...in vegas(highest unemployment in the nation, they say 14% LOLOLOL)they opened are book and 2000 mexican nationals bought cards...voted in mexican buziness agents...and pay off employers to hire their people(40.00an hr jobs americans dont want to do lololol) theres nothin here...wetbacks have the residential const. jobs...casinos layin off....bankers gettin bonuses...they want a revolution so they can enslave us all!

  • @treon123456: How much are you being paid by the Republican party to sit at the computer and peddle this crap?

  • @stonerj0e: To bring back jobs and raise wages they need to create competition for American workers. To do that, make it tougher for companies to send jobs overseas!

  • 1/2 Immigrationcounters com 97% illegal immigrants are from Mexico. Illegalimmigrationstatistics org $1117 - The average amount you and your family paid in taxes this year to support illegals. 51% - The percentage of Mexican immigrant households that use at least one major welfare program. 28% use more than one.

  • 2/2 In November 2010, 15.1 million were unemployed (9.8%). 154 million are able to work in workforce (15.1 million/9.8%). GOOGLE “illegal immigration counters”, There are 11,941,812 (or 11.9 million) skilled jobs provided to illegal immigrants. the 15.1 million unemployed could take the 11.9 million available jobs. The unemployment rate could be reduced to 2.1% {{15.1-11.9)/154}.

  • @Fashionificationful: This is a diversionary tactic by the right. The problem is NOT the illegals in this country who take a small number of mostly unskilled jobs. It is the whole scale corporate practice of shipping jobs overseas!

  • @judyleasugar97

    .

A great beginning is to deport all illegals, and deal with the anchor baby issue.

  • @Fashionificationful: Illegals are not the problem, they take a very small percentage of unskilled jobs. Companies sending jobs to India and China is the problem, that's why there are no jobs in this country.

  • We can't allow local cities to make sanctuary cities policies, because they will bring our inner city turf wars to epic proportions by bringing in the drug cartel and Columbian gangs. (Mexican Gangs don't recognize US borders established Treaty of Guadalupe) C SPAN "Black Republican Forum" Session 2 (begin at 11:30) Allen West stated part of Amnesty of 1986 was to secure our borders and enforcement our laws, but haven't happened. (We're still talking about new amnesty like DREAM Act.)

  • @Fashionificationful: We can't allow the civil rights of individuals to run over roughshod either. You people go on and on about state's rights vs the feds.

  • Senator Jim Bunning, the Republican Dick from Kentucky, is blocking this bill for one reason only;

Revenge that his "financial perks bill" for his corporate buddies didn't get put through.

He had NO problem with how the extended unemployment would be paid for until his corporate reach-around bill was denied.

So when you're children are starving? Go hunt up Jim Bunning from Kentucky.

Not that he cares about starving American children. As long as he gets paid.

  • thank you, sen. sanders! one of the few congresspeople i have any respect for. republicans don't give a shit about the working class. i only wish the 99.7% of the country who IS working class realized this.

  • it's funny how the senate's only self proclaimed SOCIALIST is the one that DIDN'T vote to fund all these things we couldn't afford but the so called fiscal conservatives did.

    what a hypocritical joke.

  • @bungerman1000

I couldn't agree more. I truly hate this country and the ignorance of the people who live in it.

  • Good grief! Sanders is the only real independent in the Senate. Granted, he usually votes with Dems b/.c they have better ideas. As far as not "reading the bill," how about the Patriot Act? That was pushed through in (what?) 3 days. No one was able to read it. For those of you who complain about the length of the HCR & not enough time to read it, what about the PCA? Where was your concern then?

  • Considering the Patriot Act was just extended by Obama yesterday, that's a really bad example.

  • We can has President Sanders nao?

  • Is that nao or Mao?

  • Is that fjwjr or dumb shit?

  • This is government at work. Government for the people, and by the people.

Republican obstructionism must end NOW! They got us into this mess. The LEAST they can do is sit down, and STFU, while the Democratic Party bails America out.

    AGAIN!

  • How about we vote all the special interest whores out of office, get out of all the stupid wars to make defense contractors rich, focus on the United States for just once and stop policing the fu@#king world!

  • This is a real man not a wimpy draft dodging republican. VOTE THE PARTY OF OBSTRUCTION, THE PARTY OF THE ELITE RICH THE PARTY OF THE CORPORATION OUT OF OFFICE NOW. NO MORE REPUBLICANS - THEY SENT 5000 YOUNG AMERICANS TO DIE SO THAT THEY COULD PROFIT THROUGH THEIR STOCKS WITH DEFENSE CONTRACTORS, AND THE OIL COMPANIES - THEY HAVE KILLED MORE AMERICANS THEN BIN LADIN - NO MORE REPUBLICANS IN OFFICE.

  • Great work, Bernie!

  • We need more senators like Sanders, Brown, and Whitehouse!

  • I'll give him credit for not walking in lockstep with the Democrats.

  • Bernie always says it like it is.
