Have you heard of the Scandinavian weapon called the Atgeir? Sounds similar to what you fellows have there.

Could you tell me how long that shaft is or how long the shafts where for those weapons found? Also about how long is the blade?
The shafts are the standard spear length for Early Middle Ages - about 6 to 7 feet. The head is around the same length as most contemporary spearheads, being around a foot long, blade and socket.

Very interesting. Not just the regular reenactment "Handbagging" but research of the use of weapons. Very nice indeed.
