I live near Helston now on a smallholding I bought in 1985 but when I met you with my then, all those years ago, with musician mates you jamed with when we were briefly in Cornwall from London for a few months in the early 70s I never thought for one moment I wouldever live in Cornwall myself - but it was happy days of my youth. I thought stuff was hard then but it was no where near how hard it is now .
Hi, I met Met you once - about the time streets of London came out, and at your home in Cornwall. No you wil not ever for a minute remember me , butI sure do remember you - I am a old woman now of 58 .......but thanks
You are part of my life and history I guess. This was about 1971 when I was living in Mousehole . Then ived in London for a few years from them on until about 1985 . Then whent back to Cornwall, so I now live in Wendron in Cornwall since 1985- love you
You were my inspiration to play guitar Ralph, and now 33 years on I am still picking away. I used to play at The Fleece in Addingam, late 70s and the one week I missed you turned up, sods law! I have a Martin D45 One day we may meet who knows, probably in our old age when the fingers wont work.If you get a chance please take a look at my Son Scott playing, he does covers of Tommy Emmanuel ....Youtube SCOTTNCGP Take care and keep those songs coming
P.S. today was election day in the EU/UK. i bet the polling figures are disastrous. it's shocking that britain doesn't have a significant green party. people are just carrying on as ever.
no, ralph, the world was a better place then. compared to today's partying, drunken, drugged-up, computer-mad, mobile-addicted, superficial youth (and older!) they were real people back then. every generation says that life used to be better, but it's true: it just gets worse and worse from generation to generation. and considering all we know now about how we are destroying the planet (which we didn't know back then), it's a scandal that the majority of people are still doing nothing about it.
@list55 - Look up her name on the net - she works for the mayor of London - is doing things for the environment and food-growing in all London schools project.
