I saw someone doing this and was like WTF and so then I helped him and had 1 sentry where you place yours and the teles at around the same location and my sentry up where you can see the attic worked fantasticly we got quite a lot of kills

The influx of baddies brought in by the $5 sales over the last couple of years ensures that plenty of people are going to throw themselves right at this sentry just for the satisfaction of destroying it. This in turn gives the other turtles time to finish building. It's actually far more helpful than you'd think.

its less helpfull than u think... u cant get to anyone cus of the gate in the way and it only kills snipers and others who want to go down that hallway. Its better to help your team than turtle in a room only 10% of the team is going to go in.

The only problem with this that if you are not fast enough or the blu are too fast you will be killed before you can build a good sentry nest. And with only one engineer you cant defend that spot, u need at least a soldier to help you!

This works, just had it used against me a couple of days ago. (it might have been an older map version though, there probably are fixed versions as well).

If your team is communicating and even a little skilled this can rape the attacking team. A couple of heavies and a pyro is enough to hold the thing indefinitely, while the rest run out and attack the enemy from behind.

i think this is now patched. When you jumped towards the window you landed on a little ledge. that doesn't happen now. But the place your at b4 jumpin is still pretty good.

I did it about 30 minutes ago, it's a not that well known trick. And besides giving your team an extra minute to breathe the spot won't hold out long.

Especially not when your team is being a dick and decides not to use the teleporter.

@Maged99 yes i know. i rewatched the video and figured out what i did wrong. I aimed for the middle of the window and i just fell but your suppost to jump to the right of the window :) my mistake. But theres another video about a good spot on goldrush which seems to work better then this spot.

It's better to put your tele exit closer to your sentry so spies can't cloak past your sentry and sap it.

No because it only opens when the blu caps 1st point, this means that you will have to be with the enemy and have a few mins to set up inside without anybody seeing you.

Regarding all the naysayers below: this may not be much of a delaying tactic against an organized and skilled offense but I came up against a team that put 3 sgs in this room (2 upstairs and 1 down) along with heavies and demomen coming and going - they managed to waste about 7 minutes of our time with that nifty trick.

My flailing attempts to get to the last jump took me back to my Super Mario 3 days.

Lol I do it all the time - Takes the set-up time and then you can get it up while the rest of the team deal with guys on the cart.

However it creates an even bigger choke point where the existing one is, it stops th enemy getting behind you and eliminates one of their pathways - the fisr time I played on this map I managed to do it and the enemy didnt know what hit them - I got

about 20 kills with a sentery and when it got destroyed mah lvl3 sentery and full ammmo kit helped me rebuild befroe they could get back at me
