the world needs MORE people like Rabbi Funnye, to bridge the gap between communities. There are those who doubt his veracity, but given the struggle he had to go through to be accepted by the Jewish community, I say that he is real and honest.
Note especially the teaching the Reb draws at the end--that we should not seek to DESTROY our enemy but rather seek to "work with them to change what is NOT like G-d."
Coincidentally, there was a terrrific feature article on Rabbi Funnye in the Sunday NYT of 16 March 2008.
