  • I still have this game, because of its sheer quality and brilliance. A game and story that was so compelling and deep, it could easily wipe the floor with half the trash that's out today in 2011.

  • epic

  • FOOK YOU!

  • stupid people who bought ps2 for watching dvd made sega stop inventing consoles

  • the emphasize on the footsteps too mcuh

  • @Raiders1393 I think the footsteps and to the tension of the scene at least in the beginning.

  • the fighting mechanics of this game are the greatest i have ever seen, i am sadend that no games for the next gen have used these mechanics, i wish yakuza would, but yakuza's fighting mechanics are so fail compared to this i hate when people compare yakuza to this, its no comparison at all.

  • Give us Shenmue 3 so we can FUCKING KILL LAN DI! Seriously the man needs to die!

  • this was the second most expensive game ever ,first is gta IV

  • goosebumbs..alot of memories about this title..maybe one of the best games every made..and the dreamcast too..

  • i have this game on my old dreamcast some years ago, shenmue 2 was great too, after this game, gta copy the sandbox style but i think shenmue was more original

  • Agreed.Shenmue was the best game and after that many games copied stuff like QTE,sandbox style, etc from Shenmue.

  • It's more like u STFU.

  • y eso mueve dreamcast... q lastima la verdad una gran consola q todabia tengo

  • If they don't make a third game, which it seems. Then they should definately release a third book. Or even a trilogy book set.

  • Omg he was about to punch his son in the balls. =O

  • Was this an Action RPG? or more?

  • It's FREE

    Full Reactive Eyes Movement

  • i wish it was FREE..

  • It is FREE.

  • Lan Di - Chinese supremacy.

  • un juego increible, adelantado a su época, lástima que la consola muriese y no fuese explotada al 100

  • Best Dreamcast game, hands down. This was the 1st video game that made me stay up all night and play it until the sun came up.

  • epic game

  • The Dreamcast was so ahead of its time. AMAZING.

  • Wow,

This game is so grand that many will not realize it.

  • Wow... Lan Di is that fast...

The Dojo master never stood a chance.

    And that finishing blow... OUCH!

Makes me wonder how Ryo would finally be able to beat him.

I've beaten both parts so far...

  • He pulls out a light saber and impales him.

  • This only shows how superior we Chinese and our martial arts are compared to the Japanese.

  • Indeed... Kara-te (empty hand)

Was first called Kode-te (chinese hand)

Since they made it based on kung-fu.

It's a good thing Ryo picks up on moves from various other styles, Kung-Fu, Banjiquan, even Tai Chi.

  • You are an educated and refined American. I am deeply impressed.

  • I know, i never knew there was such thing.

  • 1998

  • LOVE THIS GAME SILL RIP SHENMUE3 :(

  • This game is mind blowing!

    :)

  • The graphics still look great and are ahead of it's time even though it was made in 2000.

  • @fanblow Actually, the game came out in Japan in '99 and a demo of it (using nearly unchanged visuals) came out in '98). These are really visuals from 1998. Crazy, huh?

  • exelent game
