  • @jrg8008 - and yet, here you are! Boz Scaggs definitely doesn't know who the hell you are

  • "do so bah and uh jig jo bah he made a stop" (second verse)

  • Why not HQ?!

  • JRG is a fucking faggot.

  • Thanks!!

  • this guy is just smooth cool. I was 5 when this album was made, and man did it have an impact on the kind of music I love. Praises for posting. If we're here then we already know cool the Boz is.

  • thanks for this

  • Gotta love it! Most people here in FL don't have a clue as to what the lyrics are saying! I make some bar bet money now that they have internet in the bars.

  • Way 2 go Boz...!

  • Just recorded a parody of this song about Tim Tebow called the "Tebow Shuffle"! Check it out and "like" it if you dig!

  • Great tune. Boz is the man!!!

  • アメリカン・ポップスの高田純次。好きだなァ、シャッフルのリズム!

  • squidward suicide its coming

  • Left out Steve winwood

  • Saw him with Donald fagen And Michael McDonald, great show

  • Bozz Scaggs sucks.

Banal lyrics, along with an irritating melody that sounds like it was put together during a 20-minute lunch break.

It's crap like this that made the 1970s depressing.

  • @jrg8008 Banal lyrics and irritating melody? Sounds more like what the music industry's been putting out for the last 12 or 13 years.

  • @kaldemvor Agreed. I haven't listened to pop music, or what's been considered popular, for 30 years.

The 1970s had some very good music and some terrible music, more of the latter than the previous two decades, IMO.

Another 1970s group I absolutely despise - Chicago. Barf!

  • @jrg8008 I haven't listened to pop music since the late 80s, with a very, very few isolated exceptions. I love most of the 70s and Chicago is one of my favorite groups (at least before they became a syrupy pop band in the 80s) but I respect your opinion.

  • @jrg8008 I hear you, totally hear you

  • @kaldemvor Couldn't agree with you more! I think this song is great, one of my favorites of the 70's. What they call music nowadays is kinda pathetic, although there are some really good ones too.

  • @jrg8008 Justin? Is that you?

  • Check the shuffle beat on Lowdown by Boz with JP on drums - insane good.

  • The drummer, Jeff Porcaro r.i.p., was quite literally - The Man. He owned 70s rock radio in America like no other before or since. Thanks bro.

  • thanks

  • I heard this song as a kid and loved it. My dad played it in his challenger one day and i had to find it! Brings back good memories.

  • every time im at a karaoke bar i sing this. never fails to get the entire place singing along....ONE FOR THE ROOOAAAADDDDDD.........

  • Loved this song as a kid, even though I thought the title was "One More For the Road".

  • THIS SONG (ALONG WITH "WHAT CAN I SAY") REMEMBER THEM BOTH BEING TOP TEN HITS WHILST I WAS LIVING OUT IN AUSTRALIA SHAME THAT THE MUSIC OF TODAY ISNT OF THE SAME QUALITY.

  • Boss is spell B-o-z

  • my dad said this was a song he liked as a teenager, so I came to have a look at it... now im obsessed! its weird thinking that even though there's a 30 year difference between us, we both loved this as 16 yr olds!

  • guy on the cover looks pretty cute for a classic rock singer

  • Great Song. Thanks for the upload!

  • when music was music. Period.

  • what the heck is a Lido?

  • @squirrelgirl68 - Depends on the context. What Boz was talking about was a name, I believe..."Lido missed the boat that day he left the shack"...but it can be a lido deck (the area around the pool on a cruise ship) or an area of a beach where people can swim, lie in the sun or play water sports.

  • solid song

  • i had it on 8 Track also .&*(&% annoying things didn't work half the time unless you stuck match book covers in the player ..Good Daze for sure . plus FM Rock Radio jammed it in Ohio .

  • I heard this song when I was 24 years old and thought this song was called whoa oh oh oh oh oh. I have just heard it again today and found it! I know I am not very old but I love this song. I am also 17. Fuck you, comments.

  • Heard this song when I was 7. I always thought the name of this song was called Guido. Till my uncle told me it was Lido. Anyways still love this song.

  • man i feel bad for all you guys doing all this searching and what not for this song, here on the East coast this song plays maybe once a day on classic rock if not every other day

  • Who in the sHell would dislike this song? BOZ Rules! Oh, if Boz only put out more music with this style and beat, you would always have a tune of his playing on the radio...even today.

You 35 dislikes have no idea what music is all all about.

  • Whooooaaa ohhhhh!

  • awesome song i love it

  • I finally found it! I didn't know Boz Scaggs sang this song.

  • Wow... I just spent over an hour searching for songs that are mostly based on the sound "whoa-oh-oh-oh". Finally found it.

  • Thank you! you rule!

  • Thanks for uploading this. =)

  • @Lotzapoppin Thanks dude, I found it, it's called "The Whip" by Locksely :D

  • @SarahPretzel: OK, that's good (though a bit different style from Lido Shuffle...;^)

  • I love this song :) Reminds me of childhood

  • I thought I found the "Woah oh oh" peppy song sung by a man, but no... this isn't it. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME FIND MY SONG. :(((

  • @SarahPretzel: I've been trying to find an incredible song I heard on the car radio when my dad was driving us on Pacific Coast Highway maybe 1980. That was an incredibly beautiful epic song, something like acoustic folk rock, a bit like the Beatles "Blackbird", CSN&Y "Teach your children", etc. I have no idea who the group or singer were and this on mind ever

  • @SarahPretzel: since, and just hoping to find it one day. I know a LOT of music. My range goes from Sesame Street's "Sing a Song" to Lostprophets "We are Godzilla you are Japan". I play basic guitar and sent the basic riff or tune to lots of people but no ideas from anybody. I know how you feel just hang in there and be patient, you will find it one day. Was the song you are looking for acoustic? Fast? Slow? Let me know and I will try to help if possible.

  • At quick glance, I always think this is a 1980s photo of Mickey Rourke.

  • Comment removed

  • I always thought this was a Billy Joel song.

But then I'm dumb as dirt.

    Glad to find this artist.

  • @thecatthinks It could pass as Billy Joel

  • @BeatlesFetish09 it can also pass as elton john too. before I found out it was boz, I thought it was elton because the chorus sounds just like him. elton and billy joel were similar.

  • Jeff Porcaro and David Hungate - Clock-work rhythm section! Brilliant!

  • Some of Jeff Porcaro's finest drumming. This and his groove for Toto's "Rosanna" are just epic!

  • great song .. don't know what it's about though

  • Excellent tune. A highlight of 1976/77...

  • I have Lido on a " FM" Movie sound track. Alot of good tunes on there

  • I'm a 17 year old girl who lives in the suburbs. I drive a Chevy Lumina that my daddy bought, and I'm well versed in Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, and the likes. And yet, I absolutely love this song. Some things are just too good to be limited to one generation.

  • What the fuck is reddit?

  • @soyounoat Somebody posted this on r/music once, it didn't go over that great.

  • WENT TO THE ENGLAND V SCOTLAND GAME IN 1977 WITH 12 OF THE BOYS ON A BUS FAE EDINBURGH, BUT UNFORTUNATELY WE BROKE DOWN AT MOFFAT AND WE GOT TOWED 2 CARLISLE .FOUND A CLUB CALLED TWISTED WHEEL AND PULLED AN AMAZING ITALIAN GIRL...........THE DJ PLAYED THIS SONG 20 TIMES THAT NIGHT ......AND WHEN I ASKED WHY .....THE GIRL REPLIED THAT WAS OUR SONG .....SHE HAD JUST DUMPED HIM THAT NITE HA HA [ AND WE WON AT WEMBLEY] HAPPY DAYS INDEED

  • Class act alright , a fantastic song ,

  • must be 35 Justin Fartface fans around that don't get it..

  • What makes this song so special is that Boz Scaggs was a second tier rocker who was in several bands of little consequence. A respected musician but no great shakes. No great shakes until he released that monster solo album with all those hits on it. This is like robjones3030 said -- many of us got laid in the backseat of muscle car to this -- oh yeah. This track, Lowdown and We're All Alone are what make this second tier rocker easily a top shelf one. Never forgot these. Class act. Still is.

  • 33 people never did the Lido Shuffle....I feel sorry for them....!!!!

  • Love Bozs' voice!!!! One more for the Road!!!!!

  • Thanks for posting. One of my very favorites.

  • This song is the pinnacle of good times. Countless times and parties, toasted with friends or kin or both singing this arm and arm. The 33 people that dont like this song need to get in their prius's and drive back to Russia.

  • Love it, brings back some real good memory's

  • Hey you! Did you ever do the Lido shuffle? :)

  • Awesome tune. Can't hear good stuff like this stuff anymore.

  • great song, thanx for posting, good to see Rush's Neil Peart step from behind the drum kit to do some singing! lol man looks just like him there..

  • For the longest time, I wondered what the title of this song was, since they played it near the end of every Buffalo Bandits (NLL) home victory.

  • Boz Scaggs is my favorite singer, since I was a teenager. Long time ago!!!

  • Jeff Porcaro shines on this!

  • Been there done that. WoooooooHooooooooooo is right. Have been in a few of those rough times myself there. Lido Bar, if you boyz go there better be wearin ur nutz and dont let the ol'lady keep em in her purse.

  • There's a bar in Great Falls, Mt. called The Lido. WooooooooooHooooooooo. What a party spot. Can get a little rough at times. But alotta fun. @ happy hours every day. 2-3 7-8. Primer times.

  • @noelmarie84: If I recall correctly, in the late '80s The Lido had one rule, and it was made by a bouncer that looked like Mr. Clean on steroids.

  • Check speedometer,...look for rollers in the rearview,..and punch it!!!

  • Hell yeah! This is one funky, badass tune!

  • If you in a shitfilled mood this will definately get your motivation going correct.

  • @InsaneSurvivors6 You got that right, cause my mood sure sucked til now. Thats the power of a good song.

  • @InsaneSurvivors6 It just did :)

  • Guido....whooooooooooooaa. Mustang gt thick golden chain too much cologne.....

  • Guido....whooooooooooooaa

  • For those that think this song sucks, let me remind you that you probably heard it for the first time in an elevator on the way to geting to the parking lot to drive home in your gas conscious car. Rest of us heard it the first time while getting laid in the backseat of a muscle car that could roll over your nancy-boy Prius and hardly notice. So hush, and pull your pants up, it looks silly.. :-P

  • @robjones3030 Damn straight!

  • @robjones3030 Dude your comments is one of frameable beauty.Timikku[Groovy] for giving the meaning of theme a true meaning when it comes to this song!

  • @robjones3030 YUP!

  • @blardosplats Well, La Dee Uncle Tom Da!

  • @robjones3030 Right the fuck on!!!!!

  • @robjones3030 Nah, I heard it for the first time when my father played it on the stereo in the living room, and I thought it was amazing. :D

  • @robjones3030 Amen my brother!!!!!

  • @robjones3030 couldnt have said it better myself!

  • @robjones3030 I couldn't have said it better myself...and I am pretty wordy. Thanks for telling it like it is.

  • @robjones3030 LOL. Right on!

  • @robjones3030 I love this song! this song made my day!

  • @robjones3030 This song rocks dude! Thumbs up! good post

  • @robjones3030 haha. loved the comment. although i never was part of that scenario, I too am from the same era you are from and agree....this song brings back great memories of a time when we lived carefree, and didn't think the world owed us. thumbs up.

  • @robjones3030 Love Boz Skaggs and my Prius. I remember when you could get killed going 25 miles an hour in a muscle car because of the crappy safety features, metal dashes and lack of seatbelts! Yeah...let's go back there! They can keep the cars, but let us have the music!

  • @robjones3030 Good comeback, oh what fond memories.

  • @robjones3030 Have to say u are so right on this one bro!!!!

  • @robjones3030 HAHa, That's exactly when I heard this album for the first time! THe 70s man... 'nuff said!!!

  • I dont get the "Holy Shitting Fuck Sauce"

  • @tmq1384 The "Holy Shitting Fuck Sauce" was from a post on Reddit, where the husband of this person wrote a note about finding this song after having it stuck in his head for a long time. (Short version). The guy used the term "Holy Shitting Fuck Sauce" in his note.

  • 32 people are idiots. This song is badass!

  • his best by a mile..... great tune!

  • Absolutely LOVE this song!

  • this song was playing on the radio as i woke up this morning. i dreamt i was hanging on the back of a car fleeing town because dumbledore told me too, and i had to keep singing this song or my mission would fail. listening to it when i'm awake is bizarre as hell.

  • always loved it! love most all of those songs from my childhood/teen years. they are the best!!! Yep, this is a good mood song as most were back then

  • what is this song about? who is Lido?

  • 28 people aren't for the money or the show.

  • the music of this era was astounding!! you can never replicate or repeat it...you can't beat the 1975-1979 years of music..if i sound like an old fogey...to all of you detractors, i say: "if ya don't like our town, here's a timetable"! :)

  • @bunkieb00 Hey now. I agree with you, best music era ever. One problem with that statement though, I'm only nineteen lol.

  • @bunkieb00 If you sound like an old fogey!? Nope, there are still a lot of today's teen's that love good old music. I'm one of them. I LOVE music from between the 60's and about 1982. Far more of that music that than of the music since then.

  • gambling never sounded so great
