  • i feel love my dear marc

  • Is there no footage of Soft Cell performing this record with Cindy Ecstacy actually appearing with them? I did see them on TOTP earlier on in 1982.

  • My mate used to live in Leeds in the late seventies/early eighties and knew Marc Almond when he used to be a coat check boy in a night club in Leeds. She used to hang out with him.

  • Listen, I am 43 and was 14 at the time! They are still class! Forgot just how many class songs they had! Search for 'Where the Heart Is' Amazing!!!

  • Whhhhhaat?! To the 18 year old, I am now 23 and started liking them around 15 like that other kid and I still love them with a passion.

  • Soul Cell...northern soul, that is.

  • Couldn't be done today; there would be a quality overload and possibly a melt-down.......

  • GOOD !!!

  • Will always love them, everybody should...

  • He can hold me, hold me, hold me all he wants. Absolutely gorgeous guy, nice and sleazy.

  • im 14 and its my fav song :)

  • @George15026 kid im 18 an when i was ur age i was obsessed wit this band but im tellin u when u hit around my age you wont be able to stand em lik i do now

  • @thedarkwire I think it was gay lust because I felt the same, but I'm straight!

  • Pioneers of sleazy listening, I love that!!!

  • Remember being a teenager and seeing Soft Cell live in bristol late 1981 i think, had marc and dave sign my 12inch (oooooooooo thats sounds naughty) copy of tainted love..

Great concert, they played bedsitter, tainted love, sex dwarf, and a lot of soul cover versions and some songs i had never heard of before...

    Great band

  • hold me hold me hold me.just ace

  • fukin

    wiked tune .

  • Beautiful song, made me fall in love with Soft Cell (pioneers of "sleazy listening", heheh). <3

  • i agree andnoir - my fave soft cell. xxx

  • Brilliant song,i think that is the best song of Soft Cell.

Brazillian hugs to all fans of Soft Cell.

  • My god my god my god

    Marc is so attractive....sigh....

I wonder if he realises how many people masturbate to his image every night. I can be counted in that group of people.

    ~MWAH~!

    oxox

Post-script: Thank you for posting this.

  • @SpookOfHearts99 i've been doing this nightly since '81!

  • Good on you!

    Kissss XxxX ~~

  • I think this was the best Soft Cell song. Tainted Love is far too over played. You hardly ever hear 'Torch'. Its an unplayed gem.

  • Brilliant !!!!

  • Marc Almond & David Bell are gods!!!! I wonder if i'm the only young person who adores this.

  • Don't worry dear, you're most certainly not.

    ~MWAH~

    oxox

  • This one is my favourite, even more so than tainted love!

  • Anos 80 Ruleiam!

  • He's so hot. >__>

  • Obrigada por add este vídeo!!! O melhor dos anor 80...simplesmente maravilhoso!!!! Bjoks;*;*;* [ana chris curtindo D++++++]

  • the sound of a trumpet seems to mix really well with electronic music, another good example is "West End Girls" by the PSB

  • where is the trumpet in west end girls never noticed it

  • I understand what you mean. For some reason the trumpet fits in like a missing jigsaw piece it's amazing.

  • your absolutely right - and the female singer was his cocaine supplier , how mad is that !!

  • I guess her name, Cindy Ecstacy, was a bit of a giveaway - but, yeah, definitely the best song they ever did.

  • Who gives a flying F___ if it was live or not. No, actually it wasn't. But its Marc Almond!!! That's all that matters. It was knee tremblingly brilliant and it was Xmas TOTP 1983.

  • Not live!

  • No problem...So good....relax....it´s so 80....

  • Tudo d bom!!Amoooooooooooooooooo!!!!

Musicas boas e bandas boas so nos "ANOS 80""!!!

  • Das beste LIED von ihm,Gratulation MARC !!Genial!! das Lied hat sowas einzigartiges!!SUUUUPPPPER !

  • ive seen them live... and i can assure u that wasnt live!!!!

  • Me too - Marc gets tired, and lovingly he acknowledges it, A truly superb live performer

  • This is brilliant.Guys like marc come only once in a life time.I love you,Marc.:)

  • So HOT!! Do you feel like he could almost be singing to you?(we wish),he sings with such passion..

  • Yessss I do!!!!

  • @shaznay07 I was thinking exactly that! Few singers can put that much passion in their music. Amazing song!

  • @shaznay07 yes he has such a nice voice. x

  • Marc is so beautiful!

  • this is awesome.he looks so good in the color black and the eye liner

  • Essa música será sempre 10,é uma viagem, simplismente AMOOOO

  • Love it too. Best song they ever did, 12 inch was better, Cindy Ecstasy's rap. I used to have a copy of the 12 inch too.

  • LOVE IT.

    :)

  • Soft Cell? Yes! "Torch"? Definitely!

Live? NO WAY! Macho Marc is miming!

It is IDENTICAL to the record, which I just adore! One of my all-time favourites!

  • everybody had 2 lip synch on top of the pops ... it was contractual ... made it safe 4 the bbc

  • True, and a shame when he's one of the few singers who can perform live on demand. A true artiste.

  • I was also because the cameras were affected by "microphony" when near loud sounds. Look up "microphony" on Google as there isn't enough space to explain it here.

  • ... was jimmy sommerville a microphony ? ...

  • I don't think you understand. You *cause* microphony. That's why the artists rarely sung on Top of the Pops until the BBC replaced their tubed cameras in the early 90s.

  • shit koo..........

  • One of my ALL TIME FAVE songs EVER! :)

  • and mine. its aq classic
