  • :D YO MOMMA

  • Hey weres the nearsest cliff

  • Probably the most sad and happy, inspiring song, that i've ever heard.

    You've made a man cry Mr.Cash, thank you :')

  • quite possibly the saddest song ever written. Definitely ties with I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry

  • this is an amazing song. This was one of my dads favorite artists. so when he passed away we play some johnny cash songs. r.i.p both of them.

  • I can't keep it together through this song. Never has a song done that to me.

  • During the last years of Mr.Cash's life he suffered though some extreme lugubrious days. I mark him as supreme to any artist dead or alive, because he captured his emotion in every song.

    R.I.P. John R. Cash

  • A HELL OF A SONG

  • If you like Johnny Cash, listen to nemo Shaw singing 'On the Evening Train' - just out!

  • I heard the laughter at the depot But my tears fell like the rain When I saw them place that long white casket In the baggage coach of the evening train The baby's eyes are red from weeping Its little heart is filled with pain Oh Daddy cried they're taking Mama Away from us on the evening train As I turned to walk away from the depot It seemed I heard her call my name Take care of my baby and tell him darling That I'm going home on the evening train
  • one of the most touching songs I know..

  • This songs is written by Hank Williams and first recorded by Molly O'day for the people that don't know it.

  • beautiful, just beautiful. those 3 that dislike are prob rocking rascal flats right bout now.

  • why the fuck wouldn't someone dislike this, only the scum of mankind could do such thing

  • softly touch to the deepest in our souls

  • This was my mourning song when my mother died. There is an indescribable comfort to think your idol is comforting you, singing you an empathizing lullaby. Well... when i was 14, i thought so and it helped me sleep at night.

Thank you Mr.Cash. You have helped many through their darkest of hours. No words may express the magnitude your voice and talents have mended to those broken hearts. You are sorely missed.

    R.I.P,

    -Tina

  • Death, for the living, is cruel, but Johnny's voice soothes the pains of humanity. What an eternal gift to all.

  • based on the image, it's an evening train that apparently never goes anywhere.

  • @InCharacter haha no I guess it just stays in one place

  • This is very sad and very beautiful at the same time. Losing your mom has to be one of the most painful things anyone could experience. I love Johnny Cash like everyone else here

  • my favorite johnny cash song

  • 3 people unfortunately missed the evening train… :o(

Johnny Cash will bring them home...

  • why isn't this piece of awesomeness on itunes? :'(

  • This reminds me so much of my Papa. My grandfather died in May of 2010, and Johnny Cash is the only thing I have left of my Papa. Every song reminds me of him, especially this one. Thank you, Johnny Cash. I'm saddened more and more every day of my Grandfathers passing. But I'm glad that at least now he's able to see his favorite singer. You are the only thing that keeps me in reach of my papa, Johnny. Thank you.

  • Always makes me cry. He has such a powerful voice with so much emotion behind it. R.I.P Johnny Cash.

  • whoever disliked this must not have a heart, this song is about the passing of his wife and if it dont make you think about your family then you must be made of stone

  • what a shame

  • @Rythda25cent

no three people are spawed from the devil

  • This song strikes such a powerful chord in my heart.... I cannot withhold my tears everytime I hear it, as it completely captures all of the emotion I have felt since my mother passed away so unexpectedly one year ago, today. She was a big fan of Mr.Cash's music, and I have her to thank for my appreciation of it as well.
