  • @AbletonInc Is there any trick to stay in sync with all the loops and sequences out of ableton. especially as a drummer it must be very hard. do they use some metronome?

  • @ScoobyMrD

Yes, Brad Weber used a metronome, or rather I think a drum loop that's good/clear to monitor on headphones. I have heard from other drummers as well that finding a rhythmic loop you like is sometimes more comfortable to play with than only using a basic quarter note metronome. E.G drum patterns with 8th or 16th notes can be easier to monitor/play along with. As long as it is sent to your headphones only, you could use anything that inspires you / helps you keep time.

    Best.

  • i dont know if anyone else picked this up but at 1:02 he says he is routing out 6 stereo outs then going of to a sampler and so on.... this is possible with the Roland FA-101 which they have... My problem is when his still talking about this at 1:13 have a look at the Soundcard.. THERE IS ONLY STEREO OUT (Main Output)(plus it cant be the front your red power and blue firewire lights would show) all stereo outs on the soundcard are empty??????? Just saying... but still love these guys!!!!

  • @rekimba Hi there, thanks for your point. The sound card next to Ryan Smith, the keyboard/guitarist which you see at 1:13 is a second FA 101 interface, and not the same Roland FA-101 you see at 1:03 which belongs to Brad Weber the drummer, and where all the sound comes from. This second interface and lap top by Ryan exclusively controls the light show, and the cables you are seeing connected there are actually just midi and fire wire cables, not master out audio cables. Best Regards.
