Vivienne Westwood has true genius and while I do agree that using fur is unnaceptable and vile, I think it's worth pointing out that designers using leather don't get the same bad press. This seems hypocritical given that leather used for shoes, clothing and furniture is NOT a byproduct of the meat industry but farmed for fashion the same way fur is.

While I don't really care for this collection, I really love the spirit within it. I loved the stiltwalkers! Fashion is becoming more & more commercial, with shows becoming shorter & shorter. In the landscape of fashion, this is fun, exhilirating & refreshing. I see good pieces in here too. I love the look at 1:30. It's nice to see a mix of black and white models. I think the difference between skin colour really emphasizes the beauty of each woman, rahter than a homogenous series of women.

That's true, but there are also people who look different and fantastic, who don't aim to look like embalmed circus freaks. My main complaint with Viv is the fur. Get ugly as you want, Viv, but don't torture wild animals for your preposterous get-ups. Search You-Tube "fur farm" and see how Viv gets fur. It will give you nightmares. It's a great way to get skinny too, because you won't be able to eat a thing after watching. (Bet none of these bozo designers ever consider the source.)
