@megadeath728 Well, actually, James is sounding great live again. I saw Metallica in 2008 (and Megadeth in 2009, I love both bands :P) and James sounded AWESOME. And, James actually does play solos, just not as many as Dave. That said, Dave is a better soloist than James, but James definitely plays rhythm better than Dave. They're both GREAT rhythm players, don't get me wrong, but neither of them are great soloists, you know what I mean?

@megadeath728 James has put much more abuse on his voice over the years, what with the alcohol (shared by both him and Mustaine), and the snarling and growling vocals during the Black Album, Load, and ReLoad. Yes, they both snarl when singing, but if you try singing both, you'll notice that James's vocals put more strain on your vocal chords than Dave's. However, I will say that I MUCH prefer Dave's current singing over James'. He's still got it after all these years!

Well, not anymore, Dave's voice is actually HORRIBLE now. Check out their most recent performances from this year, listen to Dave's voice, he lost it. Very sad, but he lost it, when he sings the high notes, he has to use a falsetto and it just makes it sound like some parody band, the music though, is EXTREMELY good, but his voice is gone. hopefully it'll come back. age is a bitch.
