That guy is overthinking it. FIrst of all, take all actual auctions, they will take 10-20% of the final price, amazon takes 10% I believe, ebay takes 10% upto 40 quid only. Paypal aint free and it shouldn't, western union aint free too, so why would paypal be.

Now lastly, last week i had a guy trying to scam me. Paid with paypal, over 3.4k GBP and the guy claimed he sent me the item, which he hasn't, 15 mins on the phone with paypal and I got my money back. I guess they aren't that bad after all

It does indeed suck, but you can always use the USPS service directly from paypal and still use the money even if it's pending.. Then just provide them with the tracking number and usually they release your funds earlier. Waiting 21 days is not worth it..

First always make sure to clear the money into your paypal, then add the funds to your bank account, ounce in your bank account they cant really touch it, they can only really take money from your paypal.

Take all the money out of your account, re-open another account place your money in the new account.

Now as your account has no links to paypal it will send a mail messege to the buyer saying "THIS PERSON ACCOUNT IS NO LONGER ACTIVE" and it will close the dispute lol

I haved done over 200 transactions with Paypal. Never had a problem, because I use common sense in every transaction. Maybe there's people incompetent enough to use Paypal with no knowledge. Read the terms and service agreement, understand the rules, and you will not have a problem. Over 8 year old account. I guess this is happening to new accounts. In re: to them taking money from your bank. You would have no problems if you leave a cushion in your paypal account for refunds or claims. That's what I do, I understood their EULA that said "if THEY felt, they could have access to my account if there were no funds in my paypal account". So I have a barrier between my bank account and my paypal account. DO NOT open the other bank and always leave at a zero balance. If they try to take money it will effect your credit!

@kliveo That's what the 21 day hold policy is for. It's not to ensure buyer's protection against fraud. It's to allow the buyer to file a dispute to get money back whether or not you ship the product and whether or not the buyer receives the product. The real dispute should begin within 45 days after you receive the paymen and the buyer receive the product, not 21 days while PayPal hold the money. Also, all eBay care about is your money so they can buy a rolex, big homes and roll royce for them.

Buyer opened up a dispute against me. FUCKING EBAY BLOCKED MY MONEY and the buyer says he received the package, but it is ripped and the item is not in there anymore.

So there we go, bye bye my money and item.

Now i see in first person why people hate paypal and ebay. I will just open up my own webshop.

bikin4fun...U are totally right man. I heard Paypal is owned by ebay, use to think the companys were seperate. Paypal will play with your money everytime!! They actuallu expect the seller to ship out the merchandise, without even having access to funds. AND expect you to pay for the shipping (out of pocket). Whats the reason for shipping charge on Ebay auction??? Make no sense right? They dont even give U access to shipping funds. Its a SCAM Beware!! They dont give a damn about the seller.

yeah the ebay holds are not easy, i dont know why the did that one, its Ebay that dealt that one. PayPal wont pull the money in regards to a charge back out of your bank, they do place a hold on the payments. if there is a negative ballance then when a trans is made than it will pull the ammount plus the neg ballance. the PayPal accounts wont close out if there are limitation or disputes on the account and the account information even closed will stay on file.

I have a questio since you said can't delete my acount. Can i just delete my bank acount from them just remove it ? or even if i remove it will they still have control on it ? Please answer me i would appreciate it!

you can delete you account your account so long as there are no disputes on the acct. but yeah you can delete the bank acct information.
