Typical incompetency by the stewards. You had 2 expert commentators who have raced in Formula 1 before who said that Maldonado should be sent home and all they do is give him a 5 place grid drop?
@5786Dan He should have been sent home. The moment your purposely endanger a driver and try to hurt them on track is the moment you loose your racing license. No if's or but's.
@AU7thGear It's still fairly debatable what happened. We still don't no for sure what happened or whether it was an accident as has been pointed out by former racing drivers themselves, It looked like a racing incident.
@5786Dan How in what world is that debatable? I'm not a Hamilton fan so I'm not biased in this situation. However he definitely turned into him. He held Hamilton up at Bus Stop, Hamilton passed him, Maldonado didn't like that at all so he 'Accidentally' had a brain fade and wasn't paying attention and hit's Hamilton. How convenient.
@AU7thGear I'm not a fan of Hamilton too, so I'm not biased on this situation too. Watch Hamilton's steering and how he moves in closer when he sees Maldonaldo. Former F1 drivers see it as a racing incident, and they know more than both of us don't they?
@5786Dan No, Nigel Mansel saw it as Hamilton's fault along with the rest of the useless stewards. David Coulthard and Martin Brundle thought Maldonado should be sent home. I agree Hamilton did turn. But it was tiny and just to let Maldonado know he wasn't happy with it. Maldonado completely turned left into Hamilton's car which is unacceptable.
@AU7thGear Martin Brundle has since said that it looks more and more like a racing incident. Nigel Mansell are not that useless, they have more experience than you and me put together and I think they were right in this situation. I don't think Maldonaldo turned in especially more than Hamilton.
DC & Brundle's first verdict on that incident was absolutely spot on, Clearly reckless driving from Maldonado. It's funny how Maldonado scraped a point from that weekend and Hamilton retired with nothing

@hodgify Stupid by both...yer, so Maldonado is driving behind lewis then purposefully pulls right alongside his car as lewis is accelerating and turning down the hill, and cuts right across the front of him...and Lewis was somehow equally to blame...yer, right! It was a petulant act from a bitter, untalented driver in maldonado, that's all!
clearly lewis crashed intro maldonado. At first he moved to the right to "scare" maldonado and then ran straight and didn't follow the normal corner trajectory right into maldonado. SHAME !!!!
@tracto91 Mate, i won't call you an asshole right away BUT, Have you seen the whole Q2? Hamilton Turned in on Maldonado because Hamilton was on he's Flying lap but got stuck behind both williams what made him collide with Maldonado. and after Turn 1 Maldonado got pissed.
@MegaDaveXD1 Yes he does, Hamilton's just an egotistical immature child. In his eyes he's allowed to push people off the road and blame them, then when another driver does the same to Hamilton he (Hamilton) still blames the other. Remember what Hamilton did to Maldonado at Monaco?
@BrotherYounis It doesn't matter how many drivers Lewis has hit this season, you can't just drive into someone. Maldonado shouldn't have been allowed to race after this.
@BrotherYounis Who cares one of the taco drivers you support cheated at some point, like alonso forcing piquet to crash for the win or Vettel un-screwing parts from webbers car lol
@MegaDaveXD1@MikalEvo It was in Q2 because Maldonado did not make it into Q3 and received later a five place penalty for this incident and started as 21st.
Simple, U look at the space on Hamilton's side at the collision? No space at all! Maldonarsehole just turned in to him for sure.

DC was right on here. Maldonado should have had a multiple race ban for that, there is absolutely no place for that in Formula 1.

Now if Maldonado had damaged Hamilton's suspension, and it failed during a hot lap at Eau Rouge, I'd dread to think what'd happened.
andrewlawrence2209 1 month ago
Had Maldonado been in a front running team, he would have been adjudged as being the most dangerous driver in F1 in 2011, NOT Lewis Hamilton.

@tracto91 You know the track turns right there don't you and if you watch that moment again, he turns out as soon as he sees Maldonado there.
Maldonado ends up on the grass as he didn't intend to take the corner properly, because he deliberately cut in front of Lewis
