I just bought the 7D and I LOVE it. I haven't had a chance to read the book yet. I know, bad photographer! So I was "cheating" today and viewing others' reviews on this bad boy, and came across your vid. I have 2 flashes, the 430 EX and the 580 EX II. I knew I could master and slave those, but didn't know the camera would do it as well! This will keep me from having to buy pocketwizards for a little while.

did you by chance make a video about the AF points? I am having such a hard time with working them. I am use to a Canon 50D and it is just now working for my on AF. I am use to picking my own point to start focusing. Any tips would be super!!! Thanks for the wireless flash video...that helped a lot :)

@sweetiekjo If you go to the Canon website, there are vids on the AF points (& more). I was very confused, too, but they helped. Just go to USA . canon . com/dlc

You can download them and if you have an iPhone or iPod, you can download the vids onto whatever device you have for on-the-go learning. If you don't have an iPhone or iPod, there's a tutorial on how to put them onto a CF card for viewing from your camera.

nice review but because 7D is not full frame it doesn't mean that is not a professional model :) actually in many situations it can perform much better than 5D. for example action photography and also is much better weather sealed than 5D's

nice video man, I'm actually thinking to sell my 50D and get this 7D. I love the all new features that the 7D has. especially the ETTL wireless! save me a few bucks from the wireless transmitters.

good vid, im actually using this feature alot. one thing i noticed in your vid is u placed the flash back onto your camera change those settings to wireless. i have found that this does not need to be done, these settings are setting your flash when its on camera only. Also to clarify. the on camera flash DID fire because he was in ratio mode. if you choose slave only mode, the flash WILL still fire, but not alter the picture at all. great vid i love my 7d im sure you do too :)
