The First years model was milliseconds slower than the hayabusa but then they changed the exhaust system and the zzr just took the hayabusa.

@ssj4gotenks00 less restricted in japan? no they're not..if anything they'd be more restricted out there..that's the whole reasoned they're governed to 186 mph is due to a gentlemen's agreement between japanese manufacturers, and the power is no diffference

@friesngravy @friesngravy if you have not ridden a stock zx14 and a stock zzr1400 in japan you would not know. a few extra bhp has nothing to do with the governed 186.. and thats not even entirely true i had a zx10r with a muzzy titanium exhaust and thats all and its speedo said 189 when it topped and it went to 191 a few different times and the motor did not shut down and it did not hit rev limiter it was 2k rpm below redline... but thanks for you input it never hurts

@ssj4gotenks00 yes depending on the tailwind..and is that with a speedo healer aswell? because I know my 636 was about 15 mph off..and I know power has nothing to do with the goverened speed..the point ios..they're far more regulated in japan than they are here for performance..and the saqme goes for cars..do a bit of research and you'll see that..don you think ppl bring cars in from japans because they're more powerful? NO..its because they HAVE to get rid of thyem so they sell em for cheap..

@ssj4gotenks00 and i am referring to old cars..but yea..throw a japanese ZZR on a dyno..I will bet you any money that the dyno runs do NOT vary enough to make a difference at all..if anything it would be discrepancies within the manufacturing process.

@ssj4gotenks00 and i'd assume you chipped your bike since you got your exhaust done..since anyone with half a brain would..and that would derestrict the bike..oh and ps..my 636 read 274 to 276 kmh( depending on tailwind..angleof grade) which is about 165 ish mph..with the 10% error in speedos at the top speed..which would equal roughly to the 155 mph goverend speed of the middleweight bikes..and I've taken a CBR 100RR up to 300 kmh instrumented..and it did not cut out..why?

@ssj4gotenks00 because the instrumented speed is less than actual speed..so i wasn't at that 300 kmh mark yet..but do your research about power restrictions with automobiles and bikes in japan..you'll see they're not more powerful over there..thanks though
