im having the same problem and my tv is older but mine is quicker its like every two seconds
and i ko its not the tv cuz the tv part of the tv ( cable) and my tv is older it is a old dell tv but because its old i dont have multiple outputs to put the hdmi in it sucks
I finally got a tech to come out and replace my tv mainboard (the one with all the inputs) under warranty, and... the issue is 100% fixed!
If you are having this problem, it's very likely caused by a bad component in your tv. Check your warranty and have them replace the board if you can. Good luck everyone.
I found that changing the settings to 720 made it stop doing it but it sucks cause I have a 1080p tv and I'm not getting all I can from it. I'm still trying to find other solutions for this problem.
I have this exact problem with a new LG 47LE8500. I have the latest firmware for tv and ps3. I've tried all 4 HDMI ports, 3 different HDMI cables, a 'high speed' category 2 HDMI cable, a slim ps3, a fat ps3. No luck.
LG is going to replace the tv mainboard, maybe that will solve it.
I have the same exact problem when I start games or movies. I've had 3 ps3s and they all did the same thing.
