  • One of my favorite films of all time.. Treat Williams was magnificent as Berger.

  • 6:01...was that Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid in the crowd?

  • always the stress between what we want to be and what we are expected to be.

  • I love this movie, it is a work of art by a true artist.

  • This shit gets me all the time .........

  • i see this video in 1985. is beautiful, incredible, the history touches the heart forever

  • The irony is that Berger was against the war in vietnam and he ended up fighting there

and that Claud was going to fight the war but ended up staying with friends

  • @MrAviman thanks captain obvious

  • @lucasenise Damn, that was rough..lol.

  • Foo on you people who ignore the art of this and don't like it just because it dosnt have rapp in it

    America is a dieing nation

We just need another strong president

  • were are all the protesters now when we need them for the useless wars we are fighting now ?????????? All for nothing then and now, Vietnam Vet marine I still have not come home.

  • holy crap there is as much symbolism in this song as there is In the Movie Eyes wide shut. Also the artist flesh failures makes you think. I mean watch Ews and you know what i mean when just the fact that these ppl flesh failures would make a song like let the sunshine in. I know its too much to explain but when you understand EWS and this song and artist you will know what i mean.

  • Although I know that nobody will agree with this ,I must say that acp 1778 is apsolutely right.

  • @NomadBravo it's a musical called Hair :D :D

  • even more sad is the fact that the army didnt even bury the soldiers in their correct resting place. The war was shit and we were shit for believing it. We still are shit if we honestly believe the iraq war has any meaning. If we honestly did care about our troops we would make sure haliburton supplies them with clean water, doesnt charge 75 bucks for one load of laundry. Gives them food that they themselves would eat. America you have become facist and you dont realize it so sad.

  • @acp1778 The decent ones among us do realize it. That America has become fascist.

  • I just saw this on Broadway and it was AMAZING! the movie changed everything!!!! but its still really good!!

  • bring the troops home now!

  • Amazing how relevant this is TODAY, with the situation in Iraq and Afghanistan !

    Senseless killing..........mindless death.

  • worth a tear.

  • I can't get enough of this ending!!

  • @elinhayman Me either, it's very moving.

  • this makes me want to cry! what an amazing film

  • That george berger, symbol of life man. is saw the movie last night,

  • actually Berger himself may have tried to correct the mistake himself, but remember, since he burned his draft card at the beginning of the movie they may have decided to keep him anyway. and I am sure that Claude wouldn't have let his friend go without a fight, either

  • Don't get me wrong, the scene is amazing and so is the movie, but ah... shouldn't his gravestone have read Claude? Since that who they thought he was, and likely what his dog tags read?

  • No, because Claude certainly didn't allow him to go without turning himself in. If you were to apply this to the real world at the time... the mistake was found out too late is all... but by the time he was buried the whole story came out... which probably explains why Claude is there in plain cloths as he was probably booted out of the Army.

  • Claude looks just like Conan O'Brien! Except Conan's a bit more pale :P

  • omg! i said the exact thing but nobody believed me!!

  • Great song!!So emotive! :(

  • Great musical - but the ending is so sad!

  • When i see this, i always fight with my tears. It is so unjust :(

  • The wrong guy died. Claude is the one who is supposed to die. That's what happens in the show.

  • i remeber when i frst saw this movie, i was 5, and it was my favorite movie...and it still is.

the song is so full of hope.

    and we all need hope

    Let The Sunshine In

  • The movie was incredible, the play fantastic, the ending touches the heart

  • Me too

  • God, I cried so bad.

    What a great movie.

  • is that a movie or what?

  • its the musical hair so the name of the movie is hair 2 ;-)

  • We starve,

look at one another short of breath,

walking proudly in our winter coats,

    wearing smells from labratories,

    facing a dying nation:

    of moving paper fantasies

listening for the new told lies

    with supreme visions of luneytoons.***

I was in my school's musical of this.

  • oh man, he shouldnt have died! that made me so upset! he went in his freakin place!

  • i know!!! and i never really liked the guy!!!
